No is patting Texas on the back, they aren’t dog shit like some of y’all are acting, and they’re not great, they are mid pack team. They also had the best player on the floor tonight. I think the difference is some of us aren’t conceding a game at home to fricking Vanderbilt.
We’re going nowhere whether they’re back or not. Their injuries, especially Butler’s, will be used to justify the 12-14 loss season, but we weren’t going to make noise at full strength with this bunch.
We gave the game away. Texas sucks, we gave them the win.
With a healthy butler and Robinson I see us as a sweet 16 team. If we get hot we could be a problem. But now that I believe we will drop games i see us as a 6-7 seed. Which will make a upset more likely. That's why games like TX,LSU,ok,Vandy are so important. Difference between a 3 seed to a 6 seed.
I really do not want to hear people complaining about the refs and seed when this team just doesn't come prepared each and every game (almost never), and doesn't do the little things that winning teams do.
Stop projecting Blue wood, it isn't nice to talk about yourself.
That is not a loser's attitude, it is reality. Why think we are a 3 seed when in fact we may actually be a 5 or 6 seed. We have won some huge games but also lost some to teams we should have beaten. It all averages out. We have some tough games remaining on our schedule. Our best two games this year were our two wins over a good TN team. If you really look at our DUKE win, it was big but Duke played their worse game of the year. We would not beat Duke if we played them again. We have Auburn, Bama left on our schedule. The folks doing the seeding are voting based on where they project us to be come March. They look at us for what we are. We are a peaced together team that Pope has far exceed expectation with this year. No one can really expect us to make a big March run with or without our full roster. Our defense will not allow us to do this when we meet teams with superior quickness and athletic kids. We as fans need to look at what we are and be thrilled in what Pope has given us this year. We have far exceeded our talent level this year. We have great spot up shooters but very limited players who can create their own shot. We have less than an average defensive team. This is what we are and nothing except recruiting will change this. Give Pope three recruiting classes and then we will be competing with top level teams. It takes time.
