Just none. If we had to go inside for a bucket, we’re screwed. They get the occasional block but that’s it. No way to fix that this year.
Man I like Carr, and he’s much more reliable than Williams (I mean who isn’t?), but he’s a 4. But yea, he’s def the best we have.Andrew Carr
Remember him?
I was thing the same. Has Pope ever had a history of developing big men?Williams who is 7-ft 260 plays like he 6-ft 160. He simply doesn't care. I couldn't believe how he laid on the floor like he was paralyzed when he obviously wasn't hurt. Most big men would have jumped up quickly to show how tough they are.
Epitome of soft. 7 full foot of soft!Williams who is 7-ft 260 plays like he 6-ft 160. He simply doesn't care. I couldn't believe how he laid on the floor like he was paralyzed when he obviously wasn't hurt. Most big men would have jumped up quickly to show how tough they are.
He plays lazy, goes after the rebounds with 1 hand and plays defense with his arms down- how was he defensive player of the yr in whatever conference he was inWilliams who is 7-ft 260 plays like he 6-ft 160. And there was that other possession where he allowed the defender to push him and he made himself slide across the floor, seemed to be begging for a foul. All the while his team is heading the other way. IMO he his not all about helping this team.Williams who is 7-ft 260 plays like he 6-ft 160. He simply doesn't care. That's someone afraid of contact.Williams needs to block some shots or foul out trying.
Dude plays with his hands on his hips.
The only thing Williams is willing to do is constantly remind Pope of their agreement so that he gets playing time that he shouldn't be getting. Today, there was really no choice but to play him because of Carr's injury; however, considering Vandy isn't very big, we should have played small ball and benched Williams.Williams needs to block some shots or foul out trying.

Or offenseWe definitely have no inside presence on defense

Playing 5 out has nothing to do with some lazy ass' unwillingness to rebound and defend. We don't have a traditional post player by design. The 5-out is a key principle of how we play.
Against Vandy, Carr playing the majority of the 5 minutes would have helped us a lot.Man I like Carr, and he’s much more reliable than Williams (I mean who isn’t?), but he’s a 4. But yea, he’s def the best we have.
Today it should not have been. The ball should have been pounded inside since vandy was much smallerWe don't have a traditional post player by design. The 5-out is a key principle of how we play.
Sure couldn’t have been worse.Against Vandy, Carr playing the majority of the 5 minutes would have helped us a lot.
That kind of thinking leads you to trying to play through Tre Mitchell in the post against Oakland.Today it should not have been. The ball should have been pounded inside since vandy was much smaller
You’re describing most of the teamPlaying 5 out has nothing to do with some lazy ass' unwillingness to rebound and defend.
