We have ZERO inside presence

I just don’t get it with Williams. I really thought he’d be an enforcer with his size and the defensive accolades he had at the mid major level. He’s even shown glimpses of that kind of ability like the A&M game, but he has way too many games like today where he just doesn’t seem engaged, giving up position on rebounds and not even putting a hand up to contest shots that are right in front of him. He’s probably my pick for the most disappointing guy on this team.

Williams who is 7-ft 260 plays like he 6-ft 160. He simply doesn't care. I couldn't believe how he laid on the floor like he was paralyzed when he obviously wasn't hurt. Most big men would have jumped up quickly to show how tough they are.
He plays lazy, goes after the rebounds with 1 hand and plays defense with his arms down- how was he defensive player of the yr in whatever conference he was in

And there was that other possession where he allowed the defender to push him and he made himself slide across the floor, seemed to be begging for a foul. All the while his team is heading the other way. IMO he his not all about helping this team.

Pope needs more talent. The other teams in the SEC have been ahead of us with Pope coming in. No disresptto him. But we definitely gotta get some players.

Williams needs to block some shots or foul out trying.

Dude plays with his hands on his hips.
The only thing Williams is willing to do is constantly remind Pope of their agreement so that he gets playing time that he shouldn't be getting. Today, there was really no choice but to play him because of Carr's injury; however, considering Vandy isn't very big, we should have played small ball and benched Williams.

Pope took him out with 0:22 left in the game.

About 19:30 too late imo

Yeah Carr isn’t great but he’s by far the best we have. No real backup PG and we need to finish at the rim better. Teams are just running us off the 3pt line

Williams is the perfect example that numbers do, in fact, lie!

If you look at his numbers you would think he's a good rebounder. If you watch him play you know he's not. And even when he gets a rebound he ends up losing it many times. Just terrible hands.

Then on offense he will catch the ball where all he has to do is dunk it but instead he dribbles or pump fakes until he has two defenders on him and shoots a 2 foot shot from 3 feet.

We shot better than Vandy, rebounded better than Vandy, and shot more free throws. How did we lose?

We lost the turnover battle 17 to 5. Thanks to that, Vandy took 12 more shots than us.

That's it. That's the story of the game.

That's what the last possession when him and Butler killed the game for us. Even if Williams catches it he's at the 3 point line. Wtf could he have done with it besides turnover or pass. It was shit from the sideline to the court. I'm disappointed as fuk but totally expected it and watched our team piss down thier leg yet again.
