We found the right formula

Didn't say I wanted anything... I just don't understand some of the guys who get on here and this team is really not very good right now ,but yet you win one game against a very average team and you're a top 5 team..we have a long way to go to be close to top 5 is all I'm saying

It was a good road win, no one can argue that; especially after the debacle at LSU.
But I do agree with you - if we see this consistently, a good many of us will relax a bit.
For me, though - the best part of last night was the effort and intensity- THAT is what will lead to the improvements we all want to see.
Just my opinion.

We...? We could also lay an egg at Auburn. I 'm not going to get too excited about beating a team we are expected to beat. No need to get jacked up over the Alabama game, BUT it is better than the alternative.

Exactly my opinion. While I appreciate the OPs thought and enthusiasm, we need to see more consistency, especially from Poy and Lee.
It did work well last night - let's see them do this against a team with a decent frontcourt.
Exactly.

It was an SEC team on the road, and they are a good team. They played very physical and we didn't back down. They made a run at us and we didn't flinch, we won going away. What do you want ?
Not to mention top 5 this year doesn't exactly mean you're a world beater. Look at the resume of any team outside of Kansas, Oklahoma and Micjigan State and be prepared to be underwhelmed.

This is exactly it. UK has to have a third scorer to have a chance, just like they did in 2011 with Knight-Lamb-Jones.

Also, UK has to have a third big man to have a chance.........Skal ?....Willis ?...Humphries ?...
BTW..Willis had a solid game last night without putting up numbers..0 to's......

Right formula? Well, I think we looking at the starting five that will take us into the tourney. I think we've learned that it is reasonable to expect depth in the backcourt by March. However that's not a formula.

I think Alex has got to play 30 min at least and more like 35 - 38. Willis is good enough to let Alex catch his breath.

In my opinion, Skal is now the most important guy on the team. Lee will be hard pressed to play 35 min. Lee has no safety net. We really need 10 - 15 min out of Skal. It would be better if we got 20 - 25 min out of him. Without that, we're gonna need some help from down under. I wonder about 4 guards.

Foul trouble and injuries scare the crap out of me. Right formula? Not yet, by a long shot. Getting closer though.

I'm happy to beat a team we are expected to beat, I expected to beat UCLA and OSU wasn't confident about LSU. With this team I will be happy with all SEC road wins

If we had just eeked by at Bama say by 1-5 pts I wouldnt be so encouraged.
However, we played very good to great basketball and curb stomped them by 16 and it would have been 19 had their version of "mop up man" not drained a meaningless three at the buzzer.

Not sure if your serious but Willis killed us against Bama. Him not grabbing a ball on a missed 3 was the reason we went into halftime up 10 instead of 16. He also got lost on defense numerous times, which led to wide open shots for Alabama. It was a terrible performance to say the least.
