We beat Florida

I guarandamnter you that Grier isn't able to get in that first score with flannigan in there. 4th and goal and he just snuck it in.

Don't think your defense was the issue that game.
It wasn't , but I don't even think fla. scores if we had Flannigan . All those escapes and plays Grier made when he should have been tackled , well most would have been erased .

Tennessee did erase all those plays today, and Grier learned to stay in the pocket and deliver passes on his way to a 2 TD 4th quarter comeback.

Also, no LBs were even close to the play on Grier's TD run, the playcall didn't put them in position for that. Even if Grier didn't get that TD, there's still a pretty good chance that disaster could befall your offense starting at the 1 yard line against Florida's D.

Let's not forget that Florida's starting MLB was injured in the game before as well, and the top back-up also got injured in the 2nd half of the UK game.

Flanigan is a difference maker for us, so he certainly would have helped.

But I think we may have been able to win had Dawson schemed the way he did tonight. Rolling out Towles, moving the pocket, bringing in RB's to help our tackles with their ends, using the TE and middle of the field when it was there, etc.

\Dawson and Towles were much much better this week.

Correct. Florida's defense and their mastery of Kentucky's offensive line was the issue in that game. I watched the replay again yesterday morning. Towles was sacked 6 times, and seldom had a chance to throw downfield without being hit or hurried.
