How did we beat Ole Miss?

We were heathy and played with confidence. Everyone played hard and played team first football. It went straight to poo since for some reason and I would bet some heads got big and worried more about me me me than the team. Who the heck knows though. Haha. I love Kentucky football so much and just want them to play hard and have a chance to succeed, something has happened here and I believe some changes are needed somewhere.

We messed up and thought we had a coach that could lead our players to victory. Certainly have not we all learned otherwise, including the players.

I have been a big Stoops fan until I sat in the frigid cold at the Vandy game 2 years ago. I swear, that loss with an another pay raise has become my turning point for me. The best Stoops had is come and gone.

They sure took it to us. And you guys think your OC and OL coaches are bad. If not for an early interview, they may have shut us out.

Ran the ball and went play action. Any time we play that style, we play really well.

Also very limited rotating qbs. One of those almost ended in disaster.

Brad White is top notch.
This right here. Our defensive scheme is their kryptonite. The offense actually did their job for once and held onto the ball forever. We ate the clock and pressured Dart.

Still it took a perfect game from us and an absolutely off day from them to pull out the win.

Same reason we played UGA tough…early season.

Been saying for a while now. We need to play the tougher teams earlier. Before they hit mid season form.

First, CMS historically starts off hot.

Second, he’s pretty one dimensional and doesn’t, evolve, adapt, add in this, change out that, etc…so by about the mid season and especially once teams get a bye, they got him figured out. Honestly it’s not rocket science. Hate to go all Bob Knight cliche, but just score on CMS. His teams aren’t built to maintain small leads nor come back from being down.

Third, big bad teams start slow. All across CFB there are close games and upsets early season.

Really like the system that Ole Miss runs. A ton of crossing patterns, good use of screens, a bunch of different guys catch balls, deep shots off PA, etc. I do think Kiffin falls in love with the QB draws at times to their detriment, but, overall, they've got a very good offensive system and Kiffin is a very good play caller.

We played our best game against them, got a couple of key breaks and gutted out an unexpected win. Since then, it seems the wheels have come off. Not sure why.

It's college football, what makes it fun. If you're focused/motivated you have a chance.

Lane Kiffin being greedy by calling timeouts FOR US won the game.

If Lane Kiffin did NOT call those timeouts, do you honestly expect master time management Mark Stoopid to score there? Nahh

Ole Miss PK, who missed game tying FG vs UK, had 57 yd FG to put LSU game in OT, which OM eventually lost. Yesterday same kicker was 5 for 5 on FGs vs GA.

Because, for whatever insanely stupid reason, we stopped doing all the things that worked great vs Georgia and ole miss.

We switched to mainly a straight drop back passing approach and took away carries from the rbs by giving them to a backup qb. It makes zero sense.

We somewhat went back to what worked vs UT. We were in good shape that game till brock got hurt. Still we probably win if wimsatt doesn't stare down that hitch that he somehow audibled to.

That is what makes college football so great. Anything can happen any Saturday.

We played as well as we could probably and I think we benefitted from being their first game where the other team had SEC size, etc. They hadn't played anyone before us.

Took 3 miracles.
-The 4th down Bomb to BB
-The fumble right into the hands of Kattus at the goal line for the go ahead TD.
-The 0le Miss missed FG.
True but regardless of any of those, we still played dead even with them. They got some breaks too.
