Guts, toughness, experience... I'm not sure anyone is better in the country in those stats...

I'm thinking, maybe we have a chance? 😄

We still need to play some decent competition. We’ve played Duke and a bunch of scrubs.
People keep saying this and it’s just fantasy. It’s abuse victim stuff.

No, we haven’t stomped enough teams yet to prove that we’re Godzilla. Yes, have already stomped not only Duke but also other teams rated higher than the teams that recently took out most of the very highest echelon teams. In other words, there is no source of convincing evidence that the type of team we haven’t beaten yet in order to satisfy you even exists outside Auburn, Tennessee, and possibly Kansas.

They’ll get theirs. There’s no reason to proclaim us king yet but there’s also no reason for us to hang our heads in any crowd.

I’m not hanging my head over it, but to truly believe we’re the cream of the crop right now is delusional. Clemson and Gonzaga will tell us where we’re really at right now..

No one is suggesting we are the cream of the crop right now. We are the highest-output offense by a healthy margin. And that’s significant enough given the competition we’ve faced so far to be cautiously optimistic. No need to flinch just because.

Every single game of the season tells you where you're at. Pope would 100% agree with that. There are always things to improve upon, and things the game you just played prove you're better at. I bet you thought Duke would tell you where we were at, too, right? Enjoy the now instead of dismissing it for something that you think is more conclusive.

Extremely excited with what Pope has been able to do so far. Never thought we would have beaten Duke. With that said before we start considering us one of the best teams in the country I think we have to take a big step to become a more dominate defensive team.

Brand new team that had never played together that needed time to gel without completely demoralizing the fanbase with a bunch of losses, and the school was already contracted for the Champion’s Classic. Who was he supposed to schedule, the Celtics?

Is GA State predicted to make tourney? They look like they would be a tough out in the tourney.

only shooting 38% from 3? Man we stink lol need to push that back up to 50%

I still got Penn State even though they dropped a little. So that gap is even bigger now. Now it’s bigger between us and 2nd than 2nd and 21st.

I used the NCAA site itself. Interesting that there’s a difference. I wonder what’s the difference in pool or criteria each is using.

Regardless we are clearly here to take care of business and chew bubblegum. Can’t wait till we run out of bubblegum.

I think Samford played 2 non D1 teams as part of their regular season schedule or something and one site is counting those and the other isn’t. I don’t think Mississippi College or Rhodes are D1.

Ah that would definitely make sense.
