We’re beating Auburn

I'm spending Friday evening watching my DVDs of the time #1 Florida came to Rupp in 2003, followed by the time #1 Tennessee came to Rupp in 2019...

If you have any doubt Kentucky CAN win tomorrow, watch what Rupp did to two #1s on those nights...
That UF game was last game I went to.. Was a sellout and LOUD.. My head rung for days after that..

Really not sure if I want us to win. We win; dook becomes the #1 overall seed. That’s puke worthy.
Man, I want Duke to be #1 so bad. I hope and pray they get the overall #1. It'll make their inevitable S16 loss that much sweeter.

To the thread topic, we're certainly capable. I don't expect Auburn to flinch though, so Kentucky will need to be near perfect. It's possible.

I remember the Florida game like it was yesterday and would like to watch the replay, but the recording would look like it's from the Nixon administration and I'll feel old.

Did you see where Pearl says that the Cats get Home Cooking at Rupp! He is already calling attention to the officials who are working tomorrow. If they lose he will say I told you so, it might have the officials try to make it rough before calling fouls. He is a Clown, a good coach but a clown.

Ive got a good feeling about this one. We'll see tomorrow.
I'm glad you guys do! Because I just don't feel this one. I've watched AU a lot this year, and they seem to have a answer for everything thrown at them.

They remind me of some of our great teams!

It'll take a special shooting night from 2-3 guys to beat a team like this. I'm going to say we will need to put up 80+ to have a shot at winning!

Yep, been watching a little extra Auburn this week and I have to be completely real…I have no idea what weaknesses they even have. Almost everybody they put in the game is lethal, excellent at every position, outstanding on both sides of the ball, can score in a multitude of ways, both physical and skilled, deep as they are good….we need to hit a lot of threes and the crowd has to carry us.

Brea will have to step up.
BG and O can't have let downs.
Noah needs to find the Mamba.
Amari needs to go at Broome hard and often
Butler needs to look like himself.
Same for Carr and AA needs to return.

Get that and I feel good. 2-3 sleep walk and we're in trouble.

I kinda feel like we need to hack Broome, I was surprised to hear he's only 64% from the line. No easy baskets. I also think we need to play through Amari inside-out. We also need to figure a way to get Brea open more. Passing is key tomorrow, make the extra pass, no backing them down, holding the ball for 10secs.

Broome should be easy to stop. Just don't let him go left. Just kidding, I know he doesn't ask permission to go where he wants to. But he does prefer to go left and has maybe the most consistent jump hook I've ever seen. We should game plan that he will beat his man going left and try to draw a charge or two against him or get a few steals.

We gotta believe. If we do. Definitely will be signs that we are gearing up with a new fluid approach. And specifically a shot at a 3-4 seed. Which is a huge big deal. Expecting Pope with missionaries to win it. Far fetch. But a statement run. Will solidify, program is getting back to its old self. Let's go, or go home.

Given our health issues I am not at all optimistic we keep it close much less win. They are the best team in the country. I can't understand why so many are optimistic about this game. If healthy maybe but in our current state we aren't winning IMO. Hope I'm wrong about this.

Our best bet would get him in foul trouble but containing them on the bounce will be our hardest part imo.

The key I feel is butler and Amari staying out of foul trouble, those guys gotta give us 30 mins atleast plus we know brea plays much better at home. Could see a lot of zone today cause we really dont have anyone to matchup with Broome and physicality.
