Ware commits to Villanova

Personally, even with a short bench, I believe it’s best for all involved. Now, that said, if he balls out and puts up 15/10, Cal’s big arse needs to be keelhauled!
I don't think it's best for us tbh I think we could have really used Ware this upcoming season especially the way things look now. He would have been a good piece to have around all the freshman and would've provided that tough presence inside who doesn't back down.

I wonder what happened with Providence?Sounded like a done deal a couple of days ago.

Villanova has like 20 players, watch one of their home games. They have like 10 players in sweat suits watching and a coach is talking to them about what is happening. Good luck to Lance.
You mean other coaches actually coach and teach and instruct their players? (I am being sarcastic). Just imagine if someone did that with Kentucky’s talent.

He’s more talented then half the posters here ever gave him credit for. Not NBA talented but college able for sure.
I thought Ware would develop into a good low-post scorer. One of those 8-10 point/ 7-8 rebound PFs a lot of SEC teams have always seemed to keep in stock on their rosters. He just never seemed to develop, and I don't know the reason why (and I'm not going to speculate to fit into some narrative).

I'd bet money they develop Ware into having a basic back to the basket offensive repertoire.
Unfortunately, he was exactly the same player here from his first year to his last.
We can write that off as him not having talent, but you can learn some and develop basic things to score that doesn't take much talent at all.

So no chance he returns to UK? Oh well Cal has 7 of the 8 he needs. He will find the best D111 player ever according to the staff!

Ware doesn't strike me as the typical Villanova big. Don't they usually want their bigs to be able to stretch the floor?

I don't know if their new coach uses the same philosophies as Wright, but they usually have 4 out, 1 in. Eric Dixon is their starter anyway and he did shoot 3s this year, but in the past, they used Ochefu, Spellman, Robinson-Earl mostly inside.

I think Devin Booker, Jamal Murray, and dozens of other highly successful NBA players totally disagree with your nonsense.

Yeah they would have flipping burgers at Mickey D's without Cal.
He and his coaches did a great job of developing those players. That's why Kentucky players are so much more successful in the NBA than Duke players. This is in spite of the fact that Duke usually on paper has out recruited Kentucky for years.

Good luck to him. He will be a practice player there just like here.

The Villanova fans here can root for him.

I don’t care what he does unless we play them. Then I hope he sucks.

With us or against us. It’s a choice.

Yep, he couldn’t even do a basic drop step without traveling, he always fouled or goal tended on defense. Every once in a while he would get a dunk and make some defensive play, but he was still as raw as his Freshman year. He was tough though. We will miss that.

Yep, that’s why Cal has won all those championships by developing his players while they are at Kentucky.

It is very hard to win championships in college basketball now. Times have changed. We are not in the 1960's and 70's when a team like UCLA could dominate by cheating. UK has struggled for several years. I believe we may be heading in the right direction.
