Wall offered Super Max

But he must also take all the shit he is going to get from their fans... "making super max and we still can't past 2nd round"
He will get all the blame.

I'll take all the blame for 1/100th of what he makes.

Wall's solution:
- downplay media by not reading articles and offering questions honestly about lack of roster flexibility.
- insulate his world so as to lockout criticism.

Really, outside of home crowds booing, what can they do to him?

Washington was 4 games behind Boston and 2 games behind Cleveland in the standings. This play for a bad team narrative is off base.

this is what happens when the "i only watch UK, i dont care about the NBA" folks come out to state their opinion.

Home crowd isn't about to boo John Wall. This is all pretty silly.

Plus, as long as Lebron's whimsies and or GS monopolize the league for the next few years, does it really matter where Wall plays?

Houston and OKC just made the two best deals of the summer, and they're still both losing to GS in 5, maybe 6 games max.

I used that as an example of worst-case scenario, not as an reference to current fan relationships with Wall.

You didn't introduce the premise. But John Wall isn't close to being booed by Wizards fans, no matter how much they pay him. They will be thrilled if he sticks around.

I agree. That's why I don't think Wall should leave. The worst-case scenario, for $42 million/year, is no worse than a bad day in the classroom at my school.

Take the cash and don't look back.

Plus guys like Wall build relationships in the community that are important to them as well. Cousins wouldn't have left Sacremento for similar reasons. Boogie even talked about it after Sac dealt him. "It's bigger than basketball".

They're cut from the same cloth. Wall was devastated when that little girl passed. I'm sure he's close to others in Washington too. I don't see him leaving.

So you're against a free market? It sounds like you favor communism.

I'm very far from favoring communism or socialism, trust me. I'm just of the opine that 40 million a year is a ridiculous amount for someone to play basketball. You don't think so, fine. It's just my opinion, not a political statement like you're trying to make it.
