4 year 168 million.. Said he's gonna take a week and think about it.. Just say no and go to NO.. Please..
this is stupid..they should cut the ticket prices ..help the fans..that's not going to happen so John if you have any brain cells at all take the money
It's 4 years 170 min..that's 42.5 a year. It's ok to take a couple days to see if a contender will match it, but don't wait too long.grab the money.Haha only you would say this. True to form
So split here, love to see him get PAID but he'd be a force with his style on a contender. A true contender
Glad he is taking a full week to think on it

Wall is rich. He's going to be rich no matter what he does. That contract won't have any higher of an impact than one slightly lesser for his life. Go find an organization that you can retire with and work toward your legacy and the HOF.
Yep,, extension locks him in til 2023..4 years will go by fast. He can spend a lot of his time cashing those checks. Dang.
Why cut ticket prices when fans are showing up? This money is coming from the increase in TV revenue, not an increase in ticket prices. Also, this is how things work in a free market.this is stupid..they should cut the ticket prices ..help the fans..that's not going to happen so John if you have any brain cells at all take the money
No other team can match it. Only the Wizards can offer him the supermax. He needs to sign that contract immediately! It's 4 years 170 min..that's 42.5 a year. It's ok to take a couple days to see if a contender will match it, but don't wait too long.grab the money.
They don't lose constantly, they were the 4 seed in the east and just a couple of games out of 1st place. Wall is locked into to Washington the next 2 years regardless because he's under contract. In order for him to sign with another team and get a max deal, he'd have to wait 2 years, hope the market is the same that it is now, hope to not have any injuries, give up his super max and Bird rights. So if he risked all that, everything worked out perfectly, and found a contender to sign with, he'd still be leaving at least $50 million on the table. $168 million is generational wealth and way too much money to risk.Yup. Some people are absolutely obsessed with hoarding money for no apparent reason. I mean come on, 42 million a year to lose constantly or 35 to be happy? You're dying with a pile of cash either way.
Ha no doubt!Me and John Wall live in different worlds. It would take me more time to say "I accept" than it would to think it over.
But he must also take all the shit he is going to get from their fans... "making super max and we still can't past 2nd round"Sign the contract. Take the money.
He also needs to accept that he will be the best player on a bad team. He won't ever advance past the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs.
On his next contract he can take less and try to end up as the fourth option on a super-team and get a ring.
Edit: Change bad to middle of the road.
But he must also take all the shit he is going to get from their fans... "making super max and we still can't past 2nd round"
He will get all the blame.
So you're against a free market? It sounds like you favor communism.Sports in this country has become ridiculous when an individual can be paid 40+ million dollars a year just to play a game. Yes, I know it's a big business but with all the problems so many face in this country I just can't see paying a player that much just for a game. Our priorities are out of whack in this nation and I'm probably guilty as anyone for it since I support sports so much myself. Just crazy. Having said that, I believe Wall will probably sign that awesome deal as if he turned it down in hopes of going somewhere else in a couple of years he could lose it all if injured before then. Crazy money being thrown around out there in the sports world.
Not really that it bothers them enough, to not to such s large deal... but it does have to wear on one s bit, to being bashed by the media and fans...and its funny fans think this bothers guys for more than about 5 seconds. 1 day after the season is over, all these guys bolt to miami or wherever to disappear. while they are floating on yachts in the caribbean do you really think they are miserable thinking: "omg i let down all those fans".
There will have to be some costs associated with making $46M a year. Most would consider it a fair trade. But he must also take all the shit he is going to get from their fans... "making super max and we still can't past 2nd round"
He will get all the blame.
