*** Vols at Cats Game Thread ***

Key to the game so far we have worked the ball on offense and got almost all of our 14 attempts from 3 as open shots while Tennessee really has not had a look yet open from 3.

Can we keep it up for 20 more mins ? That first 4 win war is key we need to keep winning each 4 min war and at the end we will win the game,

Carr tonight reminding me of the scene in Princess Bride where Wesley goes, "DROP YOUR SWORD" even though technically he only had the strength to sort of stand up for ten seconds.

We need Berea to get more involved in the 2nd half!
He thinks lollygagging around the court, waving with his hands next to his nipples is going to get him the ball. Does he really ever set solid screens for others, which would open things up for him?

One thing I wish our guys would stop doing, they go into me-ball action sometimes and take really bad selfish turnaround fade-away jumpers from 12 or so feet. We are like 0 for 1000 on those.
Every possession counts in this game, need to run our offense and not play me-ball.

But that's not allowed based on how the rules are written. The refs can't just stop play. The current rules allow them to review it during the next media timeout, which was halftime in this case. They literally perfectly followed the rules and got it right in this case, I dont know why people are complaining.
I just think it’s a bad rule, taking points off retroactively just isn’t a good look. I agree they followed the procedure, but the procedure is bad.

It happened to us before too, in a 2012 tournament game, 5 min later they made a MKG three into a two.

It’s a bad rule because you may play certain situations with a certain lead in mind, and that skews the strategy of the game.

At this point if you don’t think there’s a referee agenda against UK in this conference you’re a blind man.
It's dog shit man. Every other flag ship team gets a home whistle and we get the inverse of that. Frick I'd settle for a neutral whistle but could we not get bent over for once during a big game? We've gotta be 10 pts better to win by 1.

i think we need carr if this stays close and a half court game. we just don’t have players that can create a shot inside the arc. he can post, pivot, spin etc. we may need that. hopefully we keep hitting some 3’s and we don’t need him. would like to see almanor get it going too.

As the saying goes, "Then don't leave it up to the refs". Handle your business and it shouldn't be a problem.
That's bullshit and everyone who says it is either a moron or in on it. Which are you? Refs can foul out an entire team. They can make up technicals and eject players. They can hand one team 30 more free throws than the other. Do tell, how can handling of business overcome that? They can't. You know it, too.

Should at least be our ball coming into 2nd right? No jump ball and they won the tip. I just worry about everything with SEC refs.
Whoever had the possession arrow when the halftime buzzee sounded.
It's not like football where you het the ball first in the 2nd half if you lost the tip.

They really need to fix the goaltend review call. It’s well intended but it screws a team more often than not bc you’re ignoring the fast break team usually has numbers and would get the rebound etc
