Vanderbilt is hurt.......

Call Mr. Miyagi.

lol it's April and people are freaking out over an ankle injury. Next season is so far away our roster isn't even complete yet and the schedule will not come out for several months, also baseball is just getting started and football is still a while away..... I am putting in perspective just how long from now the season is and how an ankle injury is of no concern.

Problem is he's had a history of injuries. We've been pretty lucky with no injuries since Noel (knock on wood). We need him to be healthy.
If it's an ankle sprain, that's something that happens sooner or later to every basketball player. So wouldn't be predictive of other injuries in his future. But if it's something worse, different conversation. His tweet after the game seems to indicate he is alright. I hope so, because (with or without Bamba) Calipari will really need scoring from Vanderbilt and Diallo.

My concern is that this is his 3rd ankle issue, not the same ankle though. Not overly concerned but somewhat.

Didn't he have a broken foot early? I think that is what was said last night.

Vando previously had a foot injury which kept him out of EYBL and some regular season play. An ankle sprain would be better news than anything concerning his feet.

Go back and read all of the "That didn't look good at all" followed by "I really couldn't tell or see anything for sure." posts.

Incredible.

According to Twitter he is headed back to Houston today for x-rays. They believe it's a severe sprained ankle, hoping it's not a broken bone as well.

Other foot from the injury last year

I think he was scared more than anything at first...i think he will be fine..hoping for quick recovery

So, did you go to med school, stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night or spend a week listening to Dr Phil to arrive at your expert diagnosis??[winking]

My take on his injury is that it was actually a good thing. The tissue, tendons, muscle, and bone all became stronger and turned him into a top 5 recruit of all time.
