This young fella will bring the energy and passion for the wildcats this season, Wouldn't surprise me if he became the vocal leader as a freshman.
Try harder.I don't understand how ya'll know some damn much about all our incoming recruits before they even get here. How good they're gonna be. What positions they're gonna play. Who's gonna average what. Who the leaders are gonna be. How many games we'll win. It's really impressive. Wish I was that smart. I just can't figure out all that stuff by watching those mix tapes and an All-Star game or two.
Sometimes when I can't figure out all that stuff like you fellas, I feel like I just don't belong on this board. Then I get depressed.

I agree with you.I don't understand how ya'll know some damn much about all our incoming recruits before they even get here. How good they're gonna be. What positions they're gonna play. Actually, I think I tried an appropriate amount with that post.
He does for sure. Butters said so.MKG was also pegged from 7th grade as the best player in his class, and didn't slip in rankings until Anthony Davis' ascent. We would be very fortunate if JV has any of the skills or intangibles that MKG had.

Vanderbilt was top 5 pretty much the same way til he got hurt to be fair. Not fair to compare him to MkG but he does play with a high motor and based on Twitter and his own quotes he has a vastly different personality than Wenyan. So he will bring similar things but other than energy and defense they are different kinds of players. Vanderbilt at one point in HS was trying to be converted over to a full blown pg. Seeing what these kids play like is not hard. Plenty of you tube whole game footage. I recommend the Hoop Summit which is not a typical all star game I see more organization and coaching than in most aau gamesMKG was also pegged from 7th grade as the best player in his class, and didn't slip in rankings until Anthony Davis' ascent. How you been man ?Your mom has a motor like mkg.
ok hope you feel better soon.I don't understand how ya'll know some damn much about all our incoming recruits before they even get here. How good they're gonna be. What positions they're gonna play. How you been?Shut up, Butters. Wanna know who else has an MKG type motor? Wenyen Gabriel. Wanna know who wasn't at all on MKGs level after a year at Kentucky? Wenyen Gabriel.
Every year the perceived hardest playing player award gets awarded by the fan base, the almighty MKG Type Motor Award.
Congrats Jarred Vanderbilt, you've just been put on a pedestal nobody can climb other then MKG himself.
Bye Felicia.I don't understand how ya'll know some damn much about all our incoming recruits before they even get here. How good they're gonna be. What positions they're gonna play. motor-boatin' maybe......AMIRITE?Your mom has a motor like mkg.
Lol well played, the your mom joke never gets old.Your mom has a motor like mkg.
From what I have seen the OP is correct. Don't know about his leadership but his intensity level compared to our other recruits looks to be a notch higher. A thing that is pretty easy to recognize because of so few that has that kind of intensity level every year. How do you know? How many games have you watched him play?
So when was the last time you saw him play? Like, a real game. Not an All-Star game. This young fella will bring the energy and passion for the wildcats this season, Wouldn't surprise me if he became the vocal leader as a freshman.
which is why the op compared him to mkg. put the ceiling basically out of reach and everything will seem a failure. you have to argue against a guy who hasn't played yet just to be honest. it's called trolling. just like when he said gabriel will be our third leading scorer. typical crap.I've watched 13 of his games, he has a high motor but it's a little below MKG. Vanderbilt has times on D that he does tone it down a little bit where as MKG, at the same stage, was always at a high level. This isn't to put down Vanderbilt it's just to say how special MKG was motor wise
I'm good and you? Why are some people upset over this post lol.Sab has a posting style like cut nets.
How ya been smooth?
Please, please, please don't expect new recruits to come in like MKG did. In many ways, he's as much of a once-in-a-generation player like Wall, Cousins, or Davis..
I laughed out loud at this and am still laughing right now...and I'm at work. Well done.Well WG has a longer muffler I bet .
Well the one knock on WCS was playing with intensity not a knock on the kid he just alot of interests. WG has that kind of motor too but his confidence got shook and hesitation set in and effected his over all game. Does Vanderbilt have the kind of motor MKG? He plays with intensity on defense he is super long and he can be an elite defender. He has more finesse where MKG has more bulldog. Demeanor and motor are similar otherwise not that similar of a playerI think WCS had a motor on him to match some of the best Calipari recruits his SO year. Maybe behind MKG, but similar to Chuck Hayes in my book.
I think WG had a high motor as wellz he just wasn't that great at anything last year. It's one thing to have a high motor never take a play off, and have stamina through the roof. It's a whole new ballgame to be able to do something productive for your team while playing with such energy.
I hope to see hee has figured that out this season. If not, there's quite a few FR battling him for those exact same minutes in Knox, JV, PJ, Diallo, Barker, Diallo, etc.
All in my completely worthless opinion as always.
So you have 4 once-in--generation players listed in a generation?![]()
