It shows in the aggressiveness of the defense. They have absolutely quit. He lost them after the Vanderbilt game. We will look back on this season and talk about how embarassing this season was. Plenty of talent out there but it lacks character. The leader (coach) also lacks character and composure.

Stoops checked out last year after the aTm fiasco. Just go back to the spring of the same year when he was talking about our NIL funds and pony up. Have to agree with him, being at UK is tough when it comes to competing with the top SEC schools. I really think that his thoughts were how much easier it would be at College Station, it backfired and he was back in an uphill battle. Also doesn’t help when we have our worst QB since Morgan Newton being coached by our worst OC in the Stoops era

I’m not sure we jump out 10-0 of the team is totally gone , but the Damn moron none the less .. you yank your QB when it’s 17/10 after being ahead 10-0 ????? It’s not BVs fault surely any swinging dick can see that ???

I don't even blame OC's anymore bc we've seen this story before. The only difference is stoops could hide it behind the big blue wall...thats completely gone

Might not be his fault completely but he was terrible the last 3 games. That interception in the second quarter was absolutely pitiful.

Now you also have to worry about guys thinking about the NFL. Do they want to still give 100% for this and maybe risk injury. And you have to worry about guys who start thinking about the portal. There are a lot of moving parts to manage when a team knows the season is basically over.

Yeah we gave up 48 to Florida , that’s really BV fault ??? And he sets the bench tonight when the defense is getting cleat marks on their shoulder pads .. you are too damn dumb to post here, just go away

Shut your old dusty ass up you have no business telling anyone they can’t post here. BVG has been horrible just like the rest of the team. Take your blood pressure medicine and go to sleep

WE HAVENT SCORED MORE THAN 20 IN AN SEC GAME YEAH THATS PARTIALLY ON THE QUARTERBACK WE ARE PAYING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS

Yes but the sky isn’t falling the new Coach will bring in some guys to offset what you lose. I’d rather have 3 stars giving 100% then 4’s giving 75. Indiana is James Madison North and having an historic season

Agree that Stoops has not been the same coach for past several years. Not sure his divorce was cause or not but something has clearly affected the trajectory of the program. We were fighting to get into the upper echelon of the SEC and now we are clearly the worst team in the conference.

Was at game, left early. Beginning of 4th quarter and players did not give a shit.
It was only a one score game at that point too. The fans were out of it from the start even when we jumped out to a 10-0 lead. You would have thought that would have energized the stadium, but nah, the Vandy and Florida losses have this fan base jilted and apathetic.

Exactly. And, think about it; the man hasn’t produced a consistent & reliable passing game in 13 seasons on the job, with the possible exception of 21 with Coen & Levis. But, even that was like 75% Wandale, IMO.

The offense, essentially, looks the same, regardless of who the OC is. It’s always slow, basic, head scratching & ugly, with little semblance of a passing attack. Even though the OCs had the opposite results & philosophies at their prior jobs. The offense is just always a problem.

And, if it still looks as bad & incompetent as ever after 13 freaking seasons then why would anybody have a shred of hope that anything ever changes?! If he hasn’t figured it out by now, he’s NEVER going to.

Coaches don’t need 15 f**king years to find the clue. Idk what anyone is clinging to, anyway. He’s had TWO really good seasons out of 13. The other 11 have been average or worse. Maybe 3-4 total seasons that weren’t just ugly ass football that did nothing but piss you off.

Oh gosh! If we lose our players we might only win 2 or 3 games next season. The horror.

Scoring against SEC opponents this season

6
12
20
13
20
10

That’s not going to win many games in this conference and it sure as hell isn’t going to appeal to QBs and skill player recruits.

This type of play is awful and has grown tiresome. This is going to end up being a 4 win season.

We definitely overpaid for him. We have had wide receivers who were better quarterbacks than Brock.
Correct , been waiting on the move to Barion Brown at QB all year … smdh

I would say then “pony up” remarks after the Georgia loss last year got the ball rolling on him losing the locker room.

His "pony up" was the same as a "GFY" but not just to the fans. The players couldn't have been pleased either. I'd have told any coach of mine that said something like that to eat sht if he didn't think me and my teammates were good enough to beat the other team.

Idgaf if they're 5 stars or pros. You NEVER as a coach disparage your own players the way he did. YES he lost the locker room and a TON of fans with that ignorant and arrogant comment. Then his plan was to bail on the team he threw under the bus and run to A&M like a pssy.

I thought, when he didn't resign like a man and hand the program over, find another job, that he was going to actually COACH BETTER and show that he was wrong to handle things the way he has to this point, even apologize for being a douchcanoe, and get his sht together.

Instead, at every.key.moment we have gone away from what should have and had been working. Did it many times last year in games. Tried to force the pass against teams that couldn't stop the run. Abandoned the run altogether in games where it was getting us over 4 yards per play. Benched a talented running back over untied shoes and off field tardiness.

To make it WORSE you fk with your starting QB, that was told he was going to sit down while the 2nd string QB got the 3rd series of the game. Instead, he is told by his undisciplined coach to go into the game on the 3rd series and the staff calls slow developing pass plays, no effective running plays, and wastes downs and series by putting the 2nd string QB in on 2nd and long on maybe 3 drives.

YOUR STARTER is a kid that came here to run an uptempo offense with great balance like what this program had with Will Levis and a 10 win season. He is a rhythm QB who needs touches and tempo. And you pull him on several 2nd and longs after he takes the team down the field on 2 scoring drives. And you bench him for the 2nd half. YOU'RE A FKN UNDISCIPLINED HOTHEAD WHOSE EGO HAS COST EVERYONE ELSE WAY TOO MUCH, AND I'M TIRED OF DEFENDING YOU HERE.

YOUR team is a reflection of YOU, Coach Stoops.

YOU choked in the Georgia game by not running the football after it was working well for you. YOU choked in the USC game by trying to force the passing game against a team that couldn't stop the run. YOU choked in the Vandy game by alternately abandoning the running game and then going away from a balanced attack inside the 10 yd line. YOU choked in the Florida game.

Somebody close to you has to step & tell you, since you refuse to see it or hear it from anyone else. YOU NEED TO PONY UP, COACH!

Apologize to the fans for telling them they weren't doing enough and players for telling the world they weren't good enough to beat teams, when it was YOU that wasnt doing enough and it was YOU that cost them games.

The TN game will tell us a lot if he's lost the locker room. Even though they probably can't win, if they come out and fight, then you'll know they're still listening to Stoops.

But if they look defeated from the kickoff and look like they did during much of the Auburn game you'll know it's over.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Excellent post.
