Coach Byington coaches a fun style of basketball. Very aggressive on defense and on offense. We have some players too, pretty confident in our top 8 guys.
Drake is actually very good, should be a fun game.
But yeah, the SEC Media voted Vandy preseason 16 of 16, dead last…
I think we’re an NCAA Tournament team but won’t really know until we get into SEC play. The league is so deep.
Same school that kept Jerry Stackhouse for years as their coach.

And UT struggled to put points up yesterday. CBB is off to a weird ass start.
Our AD almost got canned because she signed him to an extension prior to last season and Vandy had to buy Stack out to the tune of 20 million (or more).
Glad we got Byington, seems to be a solid coach.
Stackhouse never impressed me as a coach

I was gonna say, that’s wild that a 6-0 team is ranked that low.
Vanderbilt is another big surprise for me, this year. Friedes should have some great insight as we go along this year.

Their OOC schedule is trash. They only beat Jackson State by 13 last Saturday. I think Byington was a really good hire, but their record is only fool's gold until they reach conference play.

A) While the score of the JSU game is correct, we were up 22 and we called off the dogs. JSU scored a few garbage points late, not a big deal.
B) We have had a very good non conference schedule. Cal is pretty solid (they beat USC on the road a few days after we blew them out), and Nevada is a very good team, more than likely an NCAA T. Seton Hall isn’t very good but they had the #1 defense in the country and we blew them out, walk ons were in with 2 minutes left. In 6 games, we’ve played 3 solid teams.
C) Nobody is saying Vandy is the best team in the country but for a team that was picked dead last in the SEC, we’re better than that.
Sorry all of that upsets you, brother but it’s nice to see a competent coach and better players win some tough games. It’s been a while…

Having been born and raised in Nashville, I've seen many a game there at Miserable gymnasium (😂 😉) plenty of misery for opposing teams to go around!
I always enjoy seeing you and the other team's fans that come here regularly to talk hoops. You're more valued than most of you know, I'd say!
It'll sure add to an already fascinating season to see how well Vandy can come along. The Stackhouse era just never really worked, or fit there, I think.
The new look Commodores should provide for some tasty games that SOME PEOPLE might not be expecting. Much for the better fur Vandy fans, I might add.
It'll surely be another classic game between UK and Vandy this year. And heck, I always dreaded losing to the Dores', which has happened so many times there in Nashville. Always a tough game.

Big game tonight. Drake is very good, good chance to be an NCAA Tournament team. Winner of this game has a good chance to be in the Top 25 soon.
We have a totally new team but here is a little preview for those that want to tune in in an hour on ESPN.
AJ Hoggard - PG and Mich St transfer. He’s been good so far.
Jason Edwards - Is a small scoring guard, fun to watch play.
Devin McGlockton - 6’7 but long and plays mostly down low. He’s been our most consistent player.
Tyler Tanner - Freshman from Nashville, he’s been training with Darius Garland’s coach for years and it shows. He’s an exciting player.
We have a few others but I gotta run!
