*Updated* UK #14 in total defense, UT #102 in total defense

UT overall defensive stat is misleading. They have one of the best rushing defenses in the country.
Ok but that has nothing to do with 130th in pass defense. They have had a descent schedule but they have also played 3 CCs. Gave up nearly 320 yds passing to UT Martin today.
UK will use CRod in play action pass formations and cook the Vols porous secondary as they suck.

Scoring defense Uk is 12 while Tennessee is 48th

Tennessee after Playing 4 top 25 teams and the heisman trophy quarterback. Before him we were in the 20’s.

Now scoring offense - Tennessee #2 and Kentucky #84
A lot of these stats have to be tempered with the different styles of play. Kentucky is the slowest paced offense in the league. They run the play clock down to single digits on almost every snap, and run the ball a lot to burn clock. On defense we play mostly a cover 3 keeping everything in front so opponents drives tend to be lengthy with very few chunk yardage plays. OTOH UT is a racehorse. They run tempo the whole game. They score quick which puts their defense back on the field quickly and puts more stress on them. Considering all that it isn't surprising what you see in offensive production for UT and defensive production for UK. But in reality UK is better on offense than they look and UT is better on defense than they look.

I do think the game will be single digit margin and penalties, TOs and play calling/coaching will make the difference.

So far this year, UT is 6-0, having played 3 "gimmies", and 3 legitimate games, with each hard game following a soft team. Each of the hard games have been very close (final score within 1 score) 2 of which were at home. The easiest of the 3 was on the road @ Pitt. All of the better teams rushed for over 100 ypg while the weak teams failed to do so. While I won't be so bold as to predict UK will win, I believe the game will be much closer than many of the UT fans believe. This is another game that could go down to the wire, & UK could win. UT may have a hard time avoiding over confidence after having beaten Bama and then mauling hapless UTM (tomorrow), and with UGA looming after UK.

So 6-2 LSU was not a "legitimate" game even though they beat Florida (who IS considered one of UTs legit wins according to you) and beat #7 Ole Miss today? I guess it's not considered legitimate because the Vols beat LSU by 27 at their place and therefore it doesn't fit your narrative.

It opened at 5.5 dork. You guys are in for a battle and you know it. Bwah ha ha ha ha!!!
CRod will drag your whole team into the endzone with him!
Ha ha ha ha!
I cant wait to see the look on all you orange assaulters when UK fans tear down your goal posts and dump them in Lake Cumberland and you guys get fined again for it!!!!

It opened at 5.5 in the PRESEASON

Imagine playing without your starting QB and playing a backup that had attempted ZERO passes in college. I promise you UT would have at least 3 losses without Hooker, regardless of who your backup is. But at least UTs backups have attempted passes in college. Laugh all you want, just shows your ignorance
You know it is all part of the game. In the end no one gives a damn about anything except the final score. Tennessee does have hooker and we did not have Levis; it’s like well if so-and-so had not fumbled, if so-and-so hadn’t thrown an interception or missed a tackle. It’s all part of it. Our offensive line sucks in regard to pass protection that is why our quarterback is hurt. Bryce Young is a houdini…. oh and he passed UT silly, but they beat the crap out of him. Better pray Levis doesn’t get hurt more than he is—-He cannot pass on his back

It really needs to be a game where we don't get behind early and then are running out the clock with every drive. If we get lured into a shootout like we did last year and Bama did last week, we will lose because Hooker just doesn't make a lot of mistakes, Levis might throw a pick, Hooker just doesn't throw them.

UK has played 3 Top 25 teams. And 4 if you now count South Carolina since they are 25th in new poll.

UT has major problems v the pass.
They have a great O and a great rush D but they suck defending the pass.
We have a great, not good, great passing QB.
If we need to keep TEs and RBs back to give #7 time we will do it.
They really don’t. Teams attempt a lot more passes because Tennessee gets out to a lead and their rush defense is so good, teams are forced to pass it.

And they cant stop it. #130 in pass defense says you are wrong. If they cant stop it then do it!
Stop being divisive and realize they really do suck at pass coverage.

Okay, simple...Kentucky isn't going to score a ton of points. The offense isn't very good and your strength plays right into ours. And you're on the road. So a good night would be 30 points.

You are absolutely not holding Tennessee to 30 points in Neyland Stadium with Tillman back. If that's your hope...that's what you're hanging your hat on, I'll just tell you on Monday of game week that it won't happen.

Luckily we get to play the worst defense in the SEC to boost our numbers a bit this week. Tennessee allowing 32 ppg in conference play.
We barely broke 30 on Miami, Youngstown St and N Illinois. Our OC and OL coach have been huge busts so far. I don't expect that we'll break 30 on UT because we can't pass block and UT is good against the run. Hope I'm wrong.

UT isn't good against the run, they're just so bad against the pass that teams don't run it on them. Stop being a negative nancy, Tennessee is quite literally one of the worst defenses in the country.

I wouldn’t want to play on Tennessee’s defense. I mean hell, I pop a squat on the sideline and barely get a sip of Gatorade before I have to be back on the field in 56 seconds.

UK’s offense can take five minutes getting 13 yards while running six plays and defense can take a chill pill for a minute.

I’m not being negative I’m being a realist. Our offense looks poorly coached and struggled to move the ball on even lowly YSU. UT’s defense is on the field a lot because their offense scores so fast so their numbers are probably skewed. I’m just not confident in Skank and we usually play like doggy doo after a bye. Again, I hope I’m wrong.

We are 4-3 after a bye our last 7 games. Think positive.

UK only giving up 295 yds per game
UT getting gashed to the tune of 425 yds per game.

Herein lies the rub and herein is why Kentucky is going down there next weekend and beatin that ass:

Furthermore, UT ranks #129 in pass defense giving up a whopping 332 ypg!

Levis will have a field day v these clowns!
Nailed it.

Exactly, and UK will have Levis next Saturday night. A well rested and well prepares #7 is a dangerous #7.
So what you got to say now mr “I guarantee UK will win”? Your pre game posts were all revealed to be the boasts of an uninformed poseurderiguer from UK
