Why do you think the line came out at UT just - 5.5 despite the game being on Rocky Top and the Vols being ranked #3?
The Bookies know what the hell time it is.
UK having the revenge factor plays into the line being so low as well.

We have the all time winningest coach in UK football history and a DC that is so good he wont be here next season.

When I sent it to my StepDad he crapped on it immediately stating that the passing yds were mostly Bama! What? Sure Bama threw for 450 yds but damn UT has played 5 other games and is still giving up 330 yd per game thru the air. They have played a couple cup cakes too! Im not going to post every single passing yds per game numbers as you guys can look it up yourselves but geez.
For a #3 ranked team to be #129 in passing defense is uber rare. Its noteworthy and I promise you Kentucky is going to use CRod primarily as a decoy and play action pass the hell out of that soft secondary with #7’s rocket arm! We will have had 2 weeks to gameplan for UTs achilles heel with our potential #1 DP QB and I dont want to hear about how bad our O line is when we all know they will play their best after the bye in Tennessee v their arch rivals. Plus we can keep back CRod and TEs to block and still send out 3 WRs.

Scoring defense Uk is 12 while Tennessee is 48th

Tennessee after Playing 4 top 25 teams and the heisman trophy quarterback. Before him we were in the 20’s.

Now scoring offense - Tennessee #2 and Kentucky #84

So far this year, UT is 6-0, having played 3 "gimmies", and 3 legitimate games, with each hard game following a soft team. Each of the hard games have been very close (final score within 1 score) 2 of which were at home. The easiest of the 3 was on the road @ Pitt. All of the better teams rushed for over 100 ypg while the weak teams failed to do so. While I won't be so bold as to predict UK will win, I believe the game will be much closer than many of the UT fans believe. This is another game that could go down to the wire, & UK could win. UT may have a hard time avoiding over confidence after having beaten Bama and then mauling hapless UTM (tomorrow), and with UGA looming after UK.

Didn't realize till I watched the game that Pitt played the second half with backup qb.

I think it will be closer than most think. As most football games, it will come down to turnovers and possibly a few key special teams plays.

UK will have to play a very clean game to have a shot. They won’t be outclassed talent wise which has been the case for most of the last 50+ years. But they’ll have to score points and be opportunistic to have a shot. We’ll see what happens.

You are rated #129th in pass defense. That is shameful dude, esp for a team ranked 3rd in the Nation. Possibly unprecedented after 6 games. You obviously cant cover a damn light pole. Robinson, Brown, Key and others will light the scoreboard up in Knoxville while running amuck v your vulnerable pass defenders. Levis will have a field day cherry picking wide open receivers in your Swiss cheese secondary.
If you over compensate too much to try and stop our passing attack CRod will be used as a battering ram against your back tracking defenders. I see no hope for your porous defense.

Imo their defensive stats are probably skewed because their insane offensive pace. That's probably alot of time on the field.

Will be interesting to see if we run the ball well vs their 5-2 or if we pass to set up the run. We can't fall into the early trap they always lay, which is load up on your run (while you're trying to establish it) and steal a TD or two before you adjust to offensive pace.

1. UT stats on offense and defense are probably overstated a bit due to pace of game and they simply generate more possessions for themselves...and against their D.
2. UK needs to play a cleaner game...which is good to state....but can UK do so. UK has been a TO prone team nearly every decent team all year. Hits on QB, Levis is good for a pick a game, special teams have not been clean much this year. I think it boils down to this issue and can UK play clean especially with the pressure UT applies to the LOS.

Make excuses for them all you want. 129th is 129th and #105th is #105th. Tennessee’s D stinks and UK will have had two weeks to game plan, watch tape and exploit it.
We have a great, not good, but a great passing QB and very good receivers and TEs. Oh and we have a generational talent at RB too. UKs D is no joke either ranking #15th nationally.
UT is trouble.

I love how you guys beat Bama for the first time in 16 yrs (a Bama team that is clearly not up to Bama standards) and barely did so while Bama was flagged for a school record 20 penalties and you suddenly think your D is descent.
None of that crap changes the fact that your defense is non existent, garbage and will be exposed next Sat night for what they truly are….INEPT!
Your offense will struggle with our top 15 defense all night.

The way I see it is their run defense numbers are skewed due to the fact that the other teams are passing trying to play catch up. I would like to see the run pass ratio their defense has faced..this would also explain why passing yards given up are so high. Could be wrong. Didn't look up stats. Just saying that may be the cause of their defensive rankings.

Imagine playing without your starting QB and playing a backup that had attempted ZERO passes in college. I promise you UT would have at least 3 losses without Hooker, regardless of who your backup is. But at least UTs backups have attempted passes in college. Laugh all you want, just shows your ignorance

UT overall defensive stat is misleading. They have one of the best rushing defenses in the country.
