Update on Cats in Spring Training

Just thought I'd drop an update here for the UK baseball diehards. Corey Littrell is pitching in spring training for the Red Sox (High A Salem) and is doing well. He will pitch today for the AAA PawSox which is a great accomplishment/opportunity in itself considering he isn't even one full year out of UK. Coaches like him and he is improving, working hard.

Also, Alex Meyer is doing great for the Twins, one of their top five prospects.

Both guys are making UK proud among others.


Any other updates on other Cats?

Posting this without fact checking, so read with a grain of salt:

Read where Joe Blanton is about to get cut from the Angels, his career about over. Think Colin Cowgill may stick with the Halos though, he was hitting really well in spring training last I saw. James Paxton figures to be in the Mariners rotation and Chris Rusin looks like he will stick with the Cubs (I think). Rusin may even start for the Cubbies.
