The basketball world is better when UK and UL are both relevant. UK more relevant as usual.
They have an actual coaching staff now, it sucks. I quite enjoy their 4 win seasons, but at least losses will really sting them again.

The Washington Generals looked better than the Kenny Payne teams and they went 3 - 17,000 against the Globetrotters. 🤣
By the looks of their crowd at games most fans don't even know how many wins they had.
They will be full this year, lots of excitement to get rid of Payne, I mean he’s basically Calipari who runs a worse crew and practices. Also can’t recruit at all. You can already tell the upgrade in talent on their roster and the way they play. They have an actual staff and team again. It sucks that they will contended for the tourney again, but it will feel all the better when we beat them again. They will actually have a shot in this years game.
Really anything would have been better than a Kenny Payne UL team, so not hard to improve.
Of course they look better, their entire team are transfers . they'll be at least a bubble team. the question is, do they have the players to be really good, they have some offensive talent but a lot of poor defensive players.

UL has been a total nonfactor in college basketball ever since the Katina Powell prostitute scandal. That was a decade ago, and many head coaches and ADs ago there. Nobody cares about UL basketball, and nobody has for a long time. Totally irrelevant.
