Unlimited amount of years in College?

At this point players need to file a class action suit challenging any limitation to their eligibility.

I mean this whole system has gone the way of saying players cannot be denied the opportunity to profit for their NIL and services. They can’t be denied the opportunity to transfer however often they desire.

So why should a player have to give up their gig of earning a couple million dollars a year after 4 or 5 years of playing? If a player wants to keep playing, and someone wants to keep paying them, who’s to say this can’t happen?

No… I don’t actually believe there should be unlimited eligibility to play. I’m simply saying with how things have trended over the last few years, I don’t think it’s that far fetched.

Starting at C, listed at 6'10, standing at 5'7", 95 years old, Grandpaw Jones.

Eh, he might be a little old. But he adds quality depth and has more experience than the rest of the roster put together. I'm sure he's still good for 10 minutes per game off the bench.

I mentioned this when all this got started. College is just a semi pro league now. I really don't see how you stop it.

I want my dream team back of current nba stars: They all have eligibility left and will fit the 15 scholarships:
PG SGA , Fox, Maxey, Quickley
SG Murray, Booker, Monk, Herro
SF PJ , Knox,
PF AD, Randle,
C KAT , BAM, Oscar

As I am listing those guys….,man ….oh man… how many talented ballers Calipari had on Kentucky uniform.

We could make 4-5 teams of stars and superstars …. And I didn’t even include the retired players like Wall, Boggie or the new kittens like Wallace, Dilly, Reed. Richards, Reeves…

Would love to gain some more wins on that list if he had more eligibility.
Me too, John. He became one of my favorite Jayhawks. Ever since he went on camera before the 2024 season and incorrectly declared that Kansas was the all-time winningest program, he proceeded to systematically destroy their entire program for the two years he was there. Lol.

All while running like a duck up and down the court 😂

This is the problem with the legal system sometimes.

They just don't know when and where to stop.

At some point, common sense has to come into play.

Why can the NCAA not put in the guidelines it would like? They should be able to govern themselves, within it's own confines, to create the level of competition that they like.

The endless court cases need to STOP.

College athletics are dead!

As we knew them, 100%.

If they are going to unlimited years at some point they will have to become employees with contracts, etc. I don't see how this makes sense any other way.

CBB is turning into a lower level form of professional basketball.

Struggle to wrap my head around it. But if this kind of change could be made, why couldn't it happen in high school?

Am I reading this right?

Months ago i warned judges were close to extending the ncaa has no ability to enforce participation limit rationale all the way to them being unable to enforce the years of eligibility. That's because the underlying rationale is busted.

The rationale should've always been the ncaa could impose reasonable limits on participation. Thats sound logic and provided a much better outcome but no.... instead we got this stupidity and it ruined college sports.

Of course the incompetent ncaa could've also decided to be proactive and enact some regulations to reflect the same, but we all know they're devoid of competence.

The legal system is exactly why we don’t rule by “common sense”. Because who decides what is “ common sense”.

200+ years ago something like slavery was just “common sense” to some people.

This very simply ends one of two ways: taking money out of the game completely or collective bargaining. Pick one.
