A lot of games they score a lot more points than that. Slowed them down and gave Syracuse a chance. They are like us in that they can score in the 80's and 90's so slowing the game down with the zone was a big factor in the win.

They scored 83 points vs us in 81 possessions = 1.03 points per poss
They scored 79 points vs Syracuse but in 65 possessions = 1.22 points per poss
We were vastly better vs them. And we didn't zone.

Who wants to tell the moron of an OP that UNC scored 103 points against the Syracuse zone just a couple weeks ago? Anyone, go ahead and let him know. They're averagine 91 points per game against the Syracuse zone this season. Please, someone let him know...
Also it’s not like we lost to UNC? The love for the church league defense is amazing.
So to recap this in the two games UNC had vs Syracuse they put up
1.22 points per possession not once but twice LOL.
Those were the 4th and 5th best games vs the Syracuse defense all season long

Yeah Syracuse won. Because they SCORED 86 points in 65 possessions.
It wasn't because they did anything special on defense.
Also I'm pretty sure we beat the same team, had a better defensive performance vs them and didn't play any zone whatsoever.
