how many point guards in D1 who play 35 minutes a game can get 6 assists?

How come he's the only PG since John Wall to get at least 6 assists in 6 out of their 8 last games at UK, since it's so easy? You wanna bash him? Cool. But you seen what the team looks like without him. You're ridiculously ignorant if you think that he's some kind of negative impact on the team. You do this all the time. It's silly, really.

its just amazes me how other plays get killed for performing basically the same as ulis has had. #TheChoosenOne

Choosen One? What's he been Choosing?

Tyler may have an off game, but you know that you are going to get 110% every second he is in there. You my friend are an idiot and/or troll based off how you usually post. Anyone that disputes Tyler as being a top PG in college right now has an agenda.

Idiot / Troll alert!!!

Ulis needs to pick up his shooting. He is good at setting people up though, and usually does not turn it over much.

it is easy to spot the fans who only watch uk basketball. the top PG in college doesnt shoot 35% from the floor, 28% from three.

but keep pushing your agenda.

I agree he may not be shooting the ball well, but being a good point guard is not just about scoring the ball.

i agree but it is apparently a standard that only applies to ulis. the only player on the roster shooting it worse than ulis...is hawkins.

You've had this objection with Tyler all year long. He runs our team; it's hard to measure his toughness and overall poise.

What's happened to you this year? You've never been this negative...

Did Ulis bang your wife?

not at all. just pointing out how obviously bad he has been yet people still keep claiming he is a top PG in the nation. getting harder and harder for fans to defend their hypocritical position so instead personally attack me.

I think Tyler is a top 5 pg but we need him to play to play better. I do believe his shot is still affected by the hyper-extension injury. His defense is fantastic.

Per an ESPN article on the best point guards of all time..'.Even more than other positions, point guards shouldn't be measured by stats. It's not how many points you score. It's how smart you are, how much better you make your teammates and how well you lead your team'

Obviously bad? I'm not disagreeing that he hasn't been the top PG in the NCAA.

But he's still top 5 if you ask me. He's done amazing job running the team, and but i also agree he needs to dramatically improve his shooting.

One thing that I think could be hurting ulis shooting is how many minutes he plays a game. Just about every game this year he has played at least 38 minutes.

Ulis is the best point guard we have by a pretty good margin. Briscoe had trouble in the 1 game ulis didn't play against Illinois state. Murray and briscoe both are better playing the combo guard role

dont remember seeing people rush to message boards the last two years to say stats shouldnt matter when discussing certain players

If you're talking Harrison....I liked them. Thought they got a bad rap by a lot of our fans. Solid players...but they all can't have 'A' games every night.

Yes but a lot of players are on teams who are shooting much better. As in, better than 345th in the nation from 3 or whatever we are. It's bad.

at what point does ulis have to take ownership of his play?
  • slow start
  • injured elbow
  • players not making shots
season is a third over

My comment had nothing to do with his play. I was purely speculating on how many assists he'd average if others around him were consistently making shots. I tend to judge PG's on their A/TO ratio. Only reason I mentioned it.

Perfectly put.. Tyler is the backbone to this team and does the job he's supposed to..

I'm not gonna say he played well when he shot 3-11 from the field. It's beginning to be a pattern.
