He's played so bad you'd think he was trying to keep the game close.Williams almost single handedly stopped our run
You have to give him a few minutes to see if he turned it around at half. Coaching 101.I absolutely am glad that Mark Pope and not Calipari is our coach. But my goodness running Amari Williams out there again for the second half is the most ridiculous thing you could possibly do. A number of us in this thread set up before the second half started and now what we’ve said is absolutely confirmed. Ridiculous.
Pope needs to stop playing himWilliams is really struggling tonight, and forcing things to boot.
Just got on the thread. Glad I'm not the only one who noticedEvery time the team has gone on a run Williams has become WKU's best defense by doing something half-ass to kill our momentum.
Even Stevie Wonder can see Williams is dogging it and needs to be on the bench. His head isn't in the game for whatever reason. You have to give him a few minutes to see if he turned it around at half. Coaching 101.
This is the type of game that I see ending our season. Threes not falling and missing free throws.Missed FT’s are going to come back to bite us down the road
Seems like he struggles playing against smaller quicker lineups. Doesn’t really have the back to the basket game to take advantage of the size advantage and then his finesse advantage he has over traditional big men is negated when he’s playing against a more skilled smaller forwardWilliams needs to learn from the bench this half.
Shorten his leash. He's not ready for this game.
Better than this? Of course he is. An explosive athlete? No. A good foul shooter? No. A guy you can trust in a close game? No. A guy you can play against quicker and more athletic players? Absolutely not.I know Amari is better than this
Something mental going on?
You’d think with an undersized WKU and Amari playing like ass, that would’ve happened. But nope, here we are.I'd like to see Ansley get a little more run this game.
This shouldn’t be overlooked either. School just let out for thanksgiving break. Routines are disrupted and families coming to town etc. not an excuse as both teams are dealing w that stuff but it just makes it a less focused, weird week that isn’t like every other week of the seasonWilliams has had a bad game but he isn’t the only one tonight…. They all seem like that Turkey dinner 2 days from now is on all of their minds!!!
I don't think it is laziness; he simply seems to be without focus tonight. Don't know what is on the young man's mind but it isn't this game.Sit Williams the rest of this game, I’ve seen enough lazy ass effort out of him tonight
