This is the only school it seems that throws 9 million at a basketball coach and 9 million at a football coach for MEDIOCRE results in both sports..

It's pure bullshit that UK has all of this money to sign coaches to BS deals but the results are not worthy of such contracts.
Barnhart is a genius.
I mean a genius for figuring out how to never have to hire talented coaches again. He would pay a losing coach $20 mill a year if he didn't ever have to go through the firing/ hiring process or (shudder) actually have to set expectations for a coach.

Caliparis results weren't mediocre when he was given the contract. That cal is dead and buried. This old lazy replacement the last 3 seasons is pathetic though, not even mediocre.
hey guys 18 million dollars for mediocrity in 2 biggest sports.......... so if we paid both coaches 5 million a year .. that extra 8 million left over would buy refs for how many games ? or have JMI NIL that money to get how many 5 stars instead of Cal and Stoops' salary

Offense showed some life. This defense is really really bad.
It’s funny both coaches(cal & stoops) ran their mouths last offseason and both coaches have been terrible since. Uk sports isn’t in a good spot right now, basketball could be good but with the whole front court missing it could be a slow start. But football man, it’s a fact now we have reached our peak with stoops, and our declining it’s sitting their right in front our faces, home losses to vandy, scar, Mizzou, and tenn, all games 2018-2021 Kentucky wins barring maybe ut. It’s hard watching a game when you know your team is gonna implode
Yeah, NIL is sooooo much more at place like MIZZOU. Can't make this crap up. Hell, we've had more competitive teams BEFORE NIL. So what's the excuse?

I’d like to be happy that we finally got the kind of performance we’ve been waiting for all year from Leary, but honestly 8 games into the season and dropping our second straight game at home is no time for moral victories. The defense is going to have to get something together quickly if we want to salvage anything from this season.
Nonsense. If Leary keeps playing like he did in this game we have a very good shot at 8-4. A decade ago we'd beg for an 8-4 season. Win a decent bowl and finish 9-4.
And lack of any semblance of a pass rush.....QB's have time to eat a sandwich and smoke a cigarette against our D...or lack thereof. Brad White is wayyyy too conservative and rarely blitzes
Exactly Cal should’ve never gotten a lifetime contract ( no coach should ever) and Stoops should’ve never been extended like he was. The AD is LAZY pure and simple.
And the same thing has happened to Stoops. Ever since he got that bigger contract he's been mostly garbage.
