UK stats after two games

3-point percentages are rough outside of Brea and Oweh.
Oweh has missed his last 4.
Jaxson Robinson shooting 30% from 3.
Kerr and Butler have combined for 1 three made in 2 games at the point guard spot.

There is possible worry in the three-point shooting of some of these guys not shooting well against cupcakes.
Nerves probably.
It's usually the one time you will make shots LOL

Butler has a terrible perimeter shot. Probably should avoid shouting it outside the lane, though this will provide defenses an advantage if they sag off him. Kinda like Briscoe and Hagans and even Fox at times.

Oweh and Butler will shoot roughly 35%. They arenā€™t awful, but they arenā€™t good. The hope is Carr, Almonor, and Kriisa shoot close to 40%. Brea is going to be 50ish. He just doesnā€™t miss when he doesnā€™t have to move. That guy is a sleeper NBA sniper. He just canā€™t do much else. His handle and lack of athleticism will limit him, but someone will take a flyer and try to develop it. 6ā€™7ā€ with that stroke doesnā€™t grow on trees. JR is a volume scorer. Analytically, his numbers at BYU werenā€™t great. In games when he gets it rolling heā€™s capable of putting the team on his back. Other games, you hope he gets others involved. He is the one ā€œgo get a bucketā€ guy this team has.

The size is solid. Depth is good. Williams, Butler and Oweh are a three headed hydra.
The entire team has great potential. Williams should be a solid double double. Carr too. Butler and Oweh have a synergy together defensively that are straight up.... the only way I can say after seeing the small selection sample size is .... bulldog. I'm thinking each will average 3 steals per game. That would be ridiculous, and certainly not expected, but they are capable. That's the point. Oweh has looked all around smooth. Robinson could average 20 per game. He is a volume scorer, but has looked great in other ways outside a pure outside shooting threat. Brea as well. Both are all around talented, experienced players.

Overall, I like the defense and rebounding improvements. Brea off the bench is statistically insane. Almonor is rock solid smooth (a sleeper stud on our team) Garrison has great hands and good size, provides more depth, and Chandler is getting in and getting his, too. All our guys can knock down shots.

Um. Tell me again why I think UK is looking top #12ish ? ... and not #23 ?!?

are my eyes getting too old & blue tinted ?

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Kentucky !

Go Big Blue ! (Beat dUKe!)

If the top 8-9 players are having a bad shooting night the current coach will not keep trying to shove a square peg in a round hole. He will go down the bench until he finds a guy that is hitting. That's why he has recruited SHOOTERS, odds are against all of them being off in the same game. He also is concerned about winning games first before showcasing players for scouts. He understands.
