UK signee Malachi Moreno and target Nate Ament are in the McDonald's A-A game Tuesday night

2. 4-Star Malachi Moreno (Kentucky)

Malachi Moreno flew to the McDonald’s All-American events this morning straight off winning a Kentucky state championship last night. This scrimmage was his first participation of the week, and he made his presence felt immediately.

Moreno has legit size, listed at 7-foot-0, with good length. He also has good hands, which helps his play around the basket. Moreno is a strong rebounder, cleaning up the boards in traffic. He also had a game-clinching block at the rim, putting it off the backboard. Offensively, he plays as a roll man and out of the dunker spots. It found his spots and played within himself, and he had some very loud finishes. -
Jaime Shaw.

I could see a case that he becomes best freshman center in this class and OAD player

If this is the case, we already have our starting center

Anyone hear any new insights where we might be for Ament realistically? Signing him would sure change our team-building prospects for the better

He's not a OAD imo.
I agree, his comments don't lead you to think he is itching to turn pro anytime soon. I think he'll help us next year. Some people rag on him because of playing in Kentucky but they forget he was putting up great stats on his summer teams that were playing in top tournaments.

I feel like I'm in the minority based on what I have read on this board but I feel like Moreno will/should play 20-25 minutes a game next year.
I dont know why many users on this board see Moreno as 11th guy, not even in main rotation, or just play 10 min per game...

He definitely can play Garrison's minutes next season... He probably is already on same level with Garrison...

If he plays well next year and is predicted to be top 20 pick in nba draft, he may leave

It all depends on if he plays well next year.

According to "BIG RED LOUIE" it's over nate ament Is a "DONE DEAL" to louisville no need for the all the drama
How long does UK continue to be out worked for recruits to U6, Duke, Kansas, UNCheat etc., before the 600# gorilla in the room is addressed?
