UK signee De'Aaron Fox scored 50 points in an 83-63 victory tonight. He made 8 three-pointers in the first half, had 10 threes for the game.

I think will have enough next year as far as perimeter shooting is concerned.

Monk and Willis are excellent. Fox and Gabriel are improving. Mulder, with a year under his belt, should be decent.

I worry about experience with next years group, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't think it's a lot more like what we've been spoiled to expect compared to this season.

2 elite level athletic guards that can defend and are also skilled scorers (Fox and Monk), an overnight riser on the wing with an unlimited ceiling (Gabriel), a long and lanky elite level shot blocker (SKJ), and just a power house rebounding phenom on the low block (Bam). Potentially add in a dominant low post scorer in Bolden, stretch combo forward in Willis, experienced guys like Hawkins, Mulder and Matthews who can hopefully take a step forward and give us a little something. I'd love a little more quality experience *cough*ULIS*cough*, but still that's a group that will only get better as the season progresses.

Willis, Hawkins, Matthews, Mulder, Humphries, and Wynyard give us some experience. Willis, Hawkins, and Matthews have all logged important minutes and have all started at some point in their careers. Mulder should be better next year with a year under his belt. Humphries is just 17, another year of maturity should help him. Wynyard is still a mystery, but will have an extra semester of practice to help him.

Mix in the talent of the new five (hopefully six) and we should be in pretty good shape.

I think we start at least three Freshmen (Fox, Monk, Bam) all year long.

Willis and Matthews could start at least to start the season, but I think Gabriel will likely start by season's end, replacing one of them in the lineup.

I wouldn't be shocked if Cal starts five Freshmen by tourney time, especially if we get Bolden.

I expect Willis to get big minutes regardless of whether he starts or not. Matthews and Hawkins should also see significant minutes.

Killeya-Jones probably gets most of the backup 5 minutes, if he is ready. If not Humphries or Wynyard get a crack at those minutes.

If Mulder can improve his defense and shooting, then he might steal some minutes at guard.

I think next year should be fun. Those Freshmen are really good. We should compete for a title, as usual, but Duke, Michigan St., KU, and UCLA are going to be very good as well.
