UK opens as 3.5 point dog at Mizzou

Hey man, nothing wrong with being UK first. I’ll say when you openly admit you don’t watch other teams, maybe you saying we should easily beat a team is silly. As for Grill, you’re talking microwave of microwaves. He’s the kind of guy that can get hot and absolutely bury you. Sure hope we win, go Cats!
That’s fan speak when I say we beat them easy. Not analysis.

It’s ok to be an irrational UK 🏀 fan. It’s our birthright.

I don’t think I’ve watched even one minute of Missouri play this season. I couldn’t pick out any player on their team from a lineup.

I know you can’t go by numbers but the numbers show they score a lot and give up a lot. And not particularly good rebounding.

We score a lot too. Our defense and rebounding is much improved.

So if it’s a shootout we win.
You're going to become very familiar with Caleb Grill. White guy that shaves his hair above his ears.
You can't leave him open, even 6' beyond the arch.
But he is great going to the rim too.
He torched Florida in Gainsville. Heck, he's torched a lot of teams. Very good player.
We're going to need to keep Oweh on him and hope he stays out of foul trouble.

Get up in his grill? 😈🏀

I looked him up. Dude is a slow 6’3” guy, 24 years old playing his 6th year of college basketball.

No chance at the NBA.

And he’s their star? He appears to be a shorter Brea.

Mizzou is undefeated at home in conference and only has one loss at home all year. They've dogwalked some good teams this year at home. You know it's going to be a t-shirt day too. I just UK to be competitive tomorrow. I'm not expecting a win.
'
The SEC is the hardest conference in college basketball to win on the road. It's unreal the road advantage that Kansas gets on the road.

Tourney time. Can't worry about what the team your playing will do it's all about what WE do from now on. We need this winas a momentum builder for tourney play. Saturday is a big game IMO

Betters pounded Mizzou. UK was getting 6 points last night. Now UK +5.5.
🤨

Here’s a ruin your day story. Middle child has soccer in KC tomorrow. Have to be there by 1:45 (cst). We live in Springfield area. Roughly 3 hr drive. I’m meeting a bunch of buddies, with the 14 yr old, at a sports bar in KC to watch the game. Instead of leaving the house at 11ish, leaving at 8. Rather than be gone a mere 12 hrs (for two U15 soccer games), we will be out 15 hrs just so I can squeeze the game in. Oh, and I FREAKING HATE soccer. There’s a nutty UK fan scenario for you. 🤦🏻‍♂️
High school baseball double header here.
Starts at 230 and hour and a half from home.
Coincidence?
Good news is baseball>soccer.

OK. After the game today, come back and let me know your opinion of Grill. Brea is not even close to a comparison. Grill can take you off the dribble and attach the lane all the way to the rim. He is NOT a stationary shooter who has to have others create shots for him. You get up on him, he will beat to the rim. Leave space, he will rise and burry the 3 in your face.

Can’t believe it’s not closer to 8-10. This game has the potential to be a blowout and us not on the good end of the blowout.
Agree.. any team that’s losing 3 straight, gets a beatable team like ours and playing at home for final game of year. Spells beat down, hope I’m wrong though 😬

Not sure why someone laughed at this comment, it was spot on. Oweh did a great job on him and shut him down.

Oweh played harder guarding him that I’ve seen him play all year on defense. Which says a lot because he’s a good defender anyway. If only we’d had him vs Oakland.
Oweh is built to be a great defender. He has all the tools and he now knows he csn do it.
Now, we just need to convince him that he can finish at the rim.
I really hope we get him for another year, he's a tremendous weapon and after a summer of workouts, he's going to be even better.
The thought of having returning players, is intoxicating.

We should never be an underdog to the likes of Missouri!😂😂
Bad take, Paul. We can hold up our own achievements as a program without having to downplay or diminish the quality of our opponents. Missouri was hard to beat in Columbia this year, very hard.

We are 0-2 versus Alabama, yet Missouri beat them by 12 at home. We lost our home matchup with Arkansas, yet Missouri beat them by 18. We got steamrolled by Ole Miss, yet the Rebels couldn’t win in Columbia. The same team beat Florida on the road and destroyed Mississippi State on the road. They beat Georgia handily in Athens by 13.

Winning in Columbia was a big win for us and the fact that we were underdogs going in wasn’t the result of random guessing. The fact that Kentucky won the game is a major credit to the coaching staff and the players.

I made some coin on this one.

Took UK at +6.5. And the Over at 170.5.

After the 1st half, the over seemed in serious jeopardy. The combined total was like 67. Pretty crazy 2nd half to hit the over.

God you said a mouthful there!!! I’d have much rather been watching baseball than soccer. But hey, it followed a Cats road win, is we will call it a great day regardless!
