UK NEEDS TO DUMP LOSERVILLE FROM SCHEDULE

Nothing new, but I find playing them every year tiresome. Once every 2-4, Ok. I'd prefer variety with OOC teams such as WV/UC/IU. With the no divisions SEC setup, we'll be playing them more often than all but 1-3 SEC schools. I find that ridiculous.
You won’t get IU on your schedule cause they have already tried to back out of the 3 game series with Louisville so they can schedule an auto win. Besides the last time Uk played a team from a major conference in OOC play not named UofL or IU was in 1989 vs UNC.

No, they would be replaced by a 9th game against better more elite competition....LSU, Oklahoma, Texas a&m.

Does anyone dispute that Kentucky's strength of schedule is more difficult playing 9 SEC games vs 8 + Louisville?!?!

I think they would have been mid level SEC in the 22 season, we're some weak teams in SEC last season.

UK leads the overall series 19-15.

Remove the 6 games from 1912-24 and you find that UofL leads the modern series 15-13.

UK has won 4 in a row and 5 of the last 6.

Prior to that UofL won 6 of 7, including 5 in a row.

From 1995 to 2006, UofL was 9-3.

From 2007 to 2022, UK is 9-6.
I love kicking lil' bro's ass, regardless of sport.

Excellent summary and factual state of the "series". Bottom line, EACH team has seen good times and bad times! But if you "disregard" games from a hundred years ago it is pretty even.

Peace

Should be a yearly SEC / BIG 10 Challenge set of games, Michigan vs UGA / OH State vs Bama / Penn State Vs LSU / Indiana vs Kentucky / USC vs Texas / UCLA vs Oklahoma / Nebraska vs Tennessee / Purdue vs Ole Miss / Mich State vs Texas AM / Florida vs Rutgers (lol) / Mizzou vs Iowa / Illinois vs Arkansas / Vandy vs Northwestern / Wisc vs Miss State / USC vs Minnesota / Auburn vs Maryland. Then switch it up, home and away if UK plays at Commonwealth then the next year they play at Penn State and such. Would be awesome for the sport and a great Friday/Saturday weekend for TV

We need to get rid of the birds after the annual beating.Brohm is another patsy to add to our win total
We win and media says we should win we lose and what’s wrong with UK
Louisville is a bottom feeder in a weak ACC
Let’s add a decent team to strengthen our sos
Are you scared of Brohm?

Wouldn’t replacing three non-power five cupcakes with decent power five teams go a lot further to strengthen our SOS? Will Southeast Middle Tenn. State Upstate put the same number of fans in our stadium as UL does?

We saw what happened when UK had to play a 10 game SEC slate, 4-6! If we add another SEC game, the UL game has to go.

And what, pray tell, does a "strengthen SOS" get Kentucky? Some kind of trophy for that you know of?

100% this. It's not about UL for me, it's about our biggest rival being out of conference and that being the 1 power 5 team we play out of conference every year. The last time we played a Power 5 team not named UL or IU in the regular season was 1990, when we played UNC. It's been 18 years since we played anyone but UL. I would love to play UL in a home and home and then take 2 years off for a different power 5 team, then UL again for a home and home and continue that pattern. Would be cool to have a schedule oike:

2023 - @ UL
2024 - vs UL
2025 - @ VaTech
2026 - vs VaTech
2027 - @ UL
2028 - vs UL
2029 - @ UCLA
2030 - vs UCLA
