UK -n- Mizzou ( Saturday )...

We are working on a pretty long 2nd game loss streak. We've lost every 2nd game of a series since Texas Tech, 6 in a row. Not a record you want to have as it points out that you don't have 3 SEC starters.

Coleman settled back down and got the outs to end the 4th.

Just need to keep battling. Heyer hammers one that eats up the short stop. I'm going to miss Heyer next year.

Plass throwing exclusively sliders to Becker. I think he's lot some control of his fastball as he finally throws the heat on the 4th pitch. Becker learns and gets a slider through the hole between first and second for a single.

Shinn strikes out looking. That double play completely revived Plassmeyer.

We have very good pitchers, game 1&3,absolutely terrible pitching game 2! Severely limits the success for this season. I’m sure Ming is aware, and will do something to dramatically improve this glaring weak spot in our rotation, which has become embarrassing!

I have to say... it's not talked about much, but the injury bug bit this team hard. Haake got behind because of the injured arm. Thompson then injured. Austin Marozas would likely be our midweek starter or now Saturday starter but he redshirted due to injury. Grant Macchiochi is a great two way guy who would be a major contributor out of the pen, but is hurt and redshirting. 6'9 Ben Jordan is also redshirting after arm surgery. Brad Dobzanski also redshirting because of injury.

All of this before the year and it really hurt our bullpen, but isn't talked about as much because a lot of it happened before.

The drop off in quality pitching really amazes me. Surely one of those arms on the bench can come in and pitch a couple decent innings every so often.

We have seen this play before. No relief pitching pass Machemer and sometimes Ramsey. I don't want to see McGeorge in another SEC game. He has no command and looks like he has no confidence out there. FRUSTRATING!

McGeorge can't tell a baseball from a buttsack right now.

He's scared to death, eliminating any chance he could have at success. Just mentally defeated.

We have something working. Let's go. We have the same amount of hits as Missouri but they have maximized and we haven't.

If they can come back here it would do wonders confidence wise for a team that needs a boost in that dept.

Without the injuries, many of these pitchers would likely be the guys that are redshirting or are brought along a bit slower. Instead, they are forced to be major contributors.

Three singles scores a run to make it 9-3

Infield fly for Shinn. Kessler now pinch hitting. Just no good DH options

Dawson walks. Two on for Pompey. Top of the lineup needs to deliver.

Missouri going to the bullpen again. Big time inning here!

Pompey walks and bases loaded again, this time for Squires. Squires 4 for 5 with bases loaded this year.

I’ve blasted Ming all year. But he made a gutsy and the right decision on that freshman pinch hitter who delivered. Well done Ming.

I wanted Kessler to step out. He looked frustrated with how long it took Missouri to call their play. Shows what I know.

This is one of their better relievers and he is struggling.

Base hit Squires!!!! 2 runs!!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!!
