This is correctI think statistically TN actually runs more than pass and GA passes more than runs.

Then why are you here? To say sorry?Except that I haven't talked 'sh*t' about the recruit. That's just you making up a strawman to argue against.
So then, your point is that everyone in the East not named UGA should stop recruiting? Since UGA is way better than the rest of us? That's a pretty loser mentality that you should try to break.
UT is fine with its offensive skill positions; it's in the trenches and defensive back 7 where UT lags behind UGA.I guess you COULD say , if Tennessee wants to beat Georgia they should be getting excited about flipping Georgia recruits because……will flipping UK recruits enable them to beat Georgia. Doubtful .
To talk football. Isn't that the purpose of the board? Then why are you here? To say sorry?
Because your original point made no sense. But you have the opportunity to make it make sense. You say UT shouldn't worry about recruiting because we can't beat UGA, so wouldn't that apply to UK and everyone else, since none of us seem to be able to beat UGA? Or is it you taking it to the absolute extreme by making it only about UT?You keep taking what I say to the absolute extreme. Do you approach every conversation this way?
I was just generally giving the TN fans that showed up here shit by saying your prospects in the East are not going to change for you with his commitment. It’s not that deep. You are reading WAY too into this.UT is fine with its offensive skill positions; it's in the trenches and defensive back 7 where UT lags behind UGA.

I realize you are upset that the RB decommitted, but it's not like he flipped to UT. He may; but he had other SEC offers around the same time UT offered, so who knows? I hope he picks UT, obviously, but will have to wait and see
I’d trust the coaches who have seen them in person way more and especially if the recruit hasn’t been high profile on camping and playing in big high school games.
Oh I get that. 100%. It’s kinda like when someone like Derrick Henry is a recruit. Of course everyone knows he’s gonna be a big time back and everyone offers him. Tennessee has offered most all the big time backs too. We can’t seem to lock a super high rated one down either. We’d definitely take a high rated one over a low rated one in most cases. Crod is better than the backs on our roster and we have a couple pretty decent backs. I’m hoping for a big time transfer portal player this year just like I know some Kentucky fans are as well.
UK has offered 17 RBs. 12 were rated ahead of the previously committed Keith. It's not very likely that Keith was #1 on their board. He might have been the most likely to accept.
Does UK do well gauging lower rated players? Absolutely. Are they picking them over higher rated kids? Definitely not.

Ok 4:1? From what I’ve watched it’s throw on 1st down Second down Third down & so on.If you are really this uninformed about the Vol O you probably shouldn’t push reply. 3:1 pass , seriously do you know how far off this is ?

Personally I think the transfer portal and to a lesser extent maybe nil is gonna change the way certain positions like rb are recruited very quickly. The big name 5 stars will still get their big offers but maybe like high 3 stars who before we’re a second back taken at powerhouse schools for insurance won’t get offers and now will have to go play a year or two at your akrons and Kent states and schools of that size and plan on transferring when or if they light it up and powerhouses will be recruiting transfers more than non for sure in their mind players. I think we are already seeing it like with bama and Gibbs last year. Instead of really turning up pressure and recruiting for a top notch hs back they just take from the have nots. Kind of a shame in a way. Think it will be option b after the top few hs players are signed.

We did and I’m pretty excited about him. We need one more though in my opinion. We have serviceable backs but no game changers like we needed against Georgia last weekend.I thought you got Cam Seldon? He's high end on certain services and it was believed yall offered him as a RB. (Penn State guy who frequents here) I believe we wanted him as a defensive player.
Obviously you recruit to win, but my overall point was more so that Georgia is not going to be stopped any time soon. Second place is as good as it’s gonna get for TN because Georgia appears to be hitting that Alabama Goldilocks Zone of dominance. Enjoy it! Hope the 25-year wait was worth this.I knew what you were doing. I just wanted you to state as much.

I am having a blast. It's been a fun year so far, to be sure, in spite of last Saturday. And November will be even better because we have football and now basketball.Enjoy it! Hope the 25-year wait was worth this.
Our football team has hasn’t quite been what we hoped for but I’m hopeful our bball team is as good as advertised. We have a shot to be exceptionally good if we can avoid the injury bug. Looking forward to it.You may be right, but that doesn't mean you stop trying.

Cats look to be loaded. UT should be good. Most veterans return and some good looking newcomers both from high school and the portal. SEC should have 4-5 really good teams (Ark, Aub, Bama, UK, and UT) and then a bunch of really tough outs when you are at their place. Our football team has hasn’t quite been what we hoped for but I’m hopeful our bball team is as good as advertised. Have we ever signed a recruit that we were head to head with Clemson?Have not seen in person. ESPN had Wilcox as somewhere around the 58th best RB and they had Keith as somewhere around the 79th best RB at one time. Both 3 stars. Wilcox has offer from Clemson and Spiller is his recruiter there so may be hard to get.
He has played........just not very good, so far.Man, I almost forgot about Drennen entirely. Has he even been on the field for a snap this year?
Most of those yards are QB take offs and delays hand offs (basically draws on pass sets). Not straight line up run plays a big back would be used for.We actually rush for a slight bit more than we pass. Kirby himself said our offense is based off the run. It’s a misconception because we do hit so many big pass plays. I do completely agree with you on Georgia. Best team in college football. Also agree that game should be on a college campus.
Have to pay...I'm outTime to end free board - only school in SEC except USC where you can post
This is not true. We do run a few designed qb runs but or rb’s account for the majority of our rushing and they aren’t delayed handoffs either. Most of those yards are QB take offs and delays hand offs (basically draws on pass sets). Not straight line up run plays a big back would be used for.
We did the same thing with Mumme, most all run plays really run deceptions off the passing game.
No offense, but this is not accurate. UT's RBs have 271 carries (1238 yds) between 4 backs, with Small and Wright acciunting for the bulk of those carries. Hooker has a total of 91 carries (355 yds), which includes both scrambles and designed carries. Most of those yards are QB take offs and delays hand offs (basically draws on pass sets). Florida has a free board but it’s combined FB, BB, etc and not nearly as active as this board or even the USC board.Time to end free board - only school in SEC except USC where you can post

Call us what you want but Tennessee runs more than it passes as you proved and if anyone looks it up uga actually passes more than runs. The perception Tennessee is a air raid offense is completely inaccurate. I think the pass happy perception is from the huge chunk plays they get pretty often by getting mismatches like a linebacker on a slot and so forth. It is much more run based and heavy than I ever thought when we first hired heupel.i just looked up data through last Saturday.
Big UGLY Orange. YTD rushes. 389
Big Ugly passes YTD. 284 attempted passes
Yes, those rushing attempts look about right when you combine Hooker's rushing attempts with the RB's attempts, then add in the few designed end arounds plus some rushes and scrambles by the 2 backup QBs in mopup time. In 2021 UT had a 51%-49% pass/run ratio, but this year, as the OL has been better at run blocking, they have been more of a run team, which makes the play action more effective when they want to go deep.i just looked up data through last Saturday.

I had the privilege to work at male last yr and he’s a gray kid and built like a truck.Wish UK would look at Male’s rb Daniel Swinney. Big strong runner. 220 lbs.Multi year starter.

This decommitment hurts. Kind of old school for UK. Identify a talent before others confirm, but lose him when others notice. I don’t think we say “meh” because other backs on the board were more highly regarded by some service. The kid is not decommitting to attend Akron. We lost a good one, I think. And, we need a good one.

Coach Cal says Hi.TN roll out the Mcdonalds cash bags?
Most non legit program of our lifetime
thanksSure that's suppose to be a "great" kid.
Name's Robert Henry out of Jones CC in MS. Click on "Recruiting" link above and type in his name, film available. Not the fastest guy but seems to have good vision and looks to be a tough runner. Ahead of the HS runners UK's looking at.Who is the JUCO RB comingf in for an official visit for Vandy, and how does he stack up to Cox and Keith?
Coach Cal paid kids cash in McDonalds bags like your dirty ass trash program? FOH clown, LOL at you and your fraudulent program that no one respects.Coach Cal says Hi.
The QB runs are not designed runs, they are scrambles. Hooker takes off out of the pocket a lot and is very dangerous doing that and all those yards go down as run yards. This is not true. We do run a few designed qb runs but or rb’s account for the majority of our rushing and they aren’t delayed handoffs either.
We do have some designed qb runs. We don’t run them a lot but you will see at least a couple each game. I was responding to you saying most of our runs are delayed handoffs to the back (very little of our runs) and we don’t intentionally run the qb. There’s a good mix of all of it in UTs offense. As far as delayed handoffs go it’s not those as much as it is a qb option to pull it and pass or go ahead and hand off but it’s not a true delayed handoffs. Lots of our rb runs are flat out runs with no qb pull and pass option. The QB runs are not designed runs, they are scrambles.
