This is the best that can be put on the field that can win 6 games and protect coaching jobs This is the lowest common denominator that drives UK football in recruiting, scheduling, and NIL capabilities

If we win last two read we could play Duke, Kansas St or Clemson. They was predicting we win our last two. Both are huge challenges with the way we are playing. Rattler and Plummer both know they don't have to worry about pressure.

Rattler will have a career day.

I don't think anyone that knows anything about Football predicted us to beat Georgia & Alabama when the schedule came out.

Some people have unrealistic expectations.

Our only losses have come to:

#1 Georgia (SEC East Champions)
#8 Alabama (SEC West Champions)
#11 Missouri
#21 Tennessee

With #9 Louisville in 2 weeks

Two of those were winnable, and I understand the frustration but even without those, no one was beating UGA (and have not in 27 games) and no one in the SEC has beaten Alabama this season!

Current predictions nearly uniformly have UK in a nice bowl. Pretty funny how expectations went from "hopefully we make a bowl" to "perennial mcb, taxslayer, or mayo bowl is a let down". That's quite a stretch.

Interesting note is parity is the name of the game this year. It's all but certain there won't be close to enough bowl eligible teams to fill slots. The numbers are quite surprising.

After last years complete failure / embarrassment in The MCB. I will definitely not be attending regardless of location or selection.

We generally go to the bowl games, but I cannot believe the crap show we put on. AD and coach should have publicly apologized.

I feel that way though. When Brooks took over it was very satisfying to earn a bowl berth.

Now, though, I’m reminded of the old Wendy’s commercial: Where’s the Beef?

Our expectations have to be much higher. At the very least, could we not come out scared to death against great teams?

We are is 2-7 in our last nine sec home games. On top of that it’s how we’ve lost. It’s embarrassing.

I agree about performance vs top teams. That's pathetic and needs to end. In other threads I posted why I think that's happening, so I won't rehash it here.

As to the bowls though, that's just where we are as a program. Took an incredible fit to get us this far, because most coaches with this success would've left. Would take a truly special fit to elevate us consistently higher than this and stay more than a few years.

Win 6-8 games a year with the occasional 9-10 win seasons sprinkled in. That's the best anyone can ask for that isn't a top 10 program.

No one is saying we expected UK to beat UGA or Bama. What we do expect 11 years in is to be somewhat competitive in those games. Not just get the doors blown off. I mean, there are other SEC teams that are at UKs level that have played both UGA and Bama to closer games than UK has this year and in previous seasons. But UK gets the absolute shit kicked out of them every time they play a top tier SEC squad. You could set you watch by it it's so predictable.

I have my issues with Stoops but we are spoiled with bowl games now. Talk to Nebraska, who hasn't been to one in a while.

But hey, you have 4 bigs wins against Akron, Ball St, Eastern Ky, and Vandy. Almost as impressive as our 4 wins.

Let’s face it….neither program looks very good right now.

You're exactly right. No one honestly expected UK to beat Georgia and Alabama this year but it would be nice to feel like the team was prepared and well coached for the talent level. Not happening, in fact it's embarrassing at this point and then to listen to the excuses from these coaches' week to week is Groundhog Day madness.

I really dont see how anyone that has watched us play this year thinks we beat UL on the road. I just dont see it
