His hatred for UK had no bounds......that's all I will say
You actually said too much. His hatred for UK had no bounds......that's all I will say
I didn't disparage him. Only said he hated UK...which he did.....I'm not happy he died....Good grief dude. What a disrespectful and unnecessary post.
UK beating Duke in 1977 for the NCAA Championship really upset him.
yes he did.I don't think he cared much for Bobby Knight either. Didn't he write "A Season on the Brink" , a book about an IU season (84 or 85) that was pretty rough? It seems like BK really turned against him after that.
yes he did.
Still sad news to hear his passing. That was shockingly sudden and unexpected. Condolences to him and his friends and family.
I just feel that when someone passes the headline shouldn’t be something as insignificant as them disliking a sports team. The man had a soul, family and friends who lost someone they loved.I didn't disparage him. Only said he hated UK...which he did.....I'm not happy he died....
He wrote a book making the 1978 Kentucky team look evil and the Duke team was everything great.I just feel that when someone passes the headline shouldn’t be something as insignificant as them disliking a sports team. The man had a soul, family and friends who lost someone they loved.
I’m definitely not advocating for his behavior for sureHe wrote a book making the 1978 Kentucky team look evil and the Duke team was everything great.
He spent his entire career bashing Kentucky when he could.
In 2015 he was voting Virginia as number one over Kentucky.
@JPScott
wouldn't agree with my post above probably but ask him about Feinstein.

- "Perhaps never in the history of the NCAA basketball tournament have two teams that were so radically different met in the final. Kentucky was the ultimate basketball factory. There was no business bigger or more important in the state of Kentucky than Kentucky basketball. People there honestly thought their program incomparable, even though Adolph Rupp had won the last of his four national titles in 1958 and UCLA had won ten of them in the ensuing twenty years." - by John Feinstein, Forever's Team, Villard Books, 1990, pg. 154.
"Joe B. Hall, Rupp's successor, was a bland, humorless man who could keep the Kentucky fans happy only by winning the national championship." - by John Feinstein, Forever's Team, Villard Books
Matt Jones had him on a few years ago and asked Feinstein if he still thought Rupp was a racist and he answered yes.He wrote a book making the 1978 Kentucky team look evil and the Duke team was everything great.

I don't like to get into that discussion. Knowing someone's thoughts is unknowable.Matt Jones had him on a few years ago and asked Feinstein if he still thought Rupp was a racist and he answered yes.
Exactly.I don't like to get into that discussion. Knowing someone's thoughts is unknowable.
Oh no. Anyway.....His hatred for UK had no bounds......that's all I will say
Eastern media elites do hate UK. ESPN along with these guys. I say they have hated us for years as a joke mostly. Sometimes it is true.As mentioned by several, this guy never got over Kentucky beating his beloved alma mater Duke in '78 championship, in fact he can single-handedly be held responsible for spreading the widespread misinformation that Kentucky fans are unreasonable, have championship expectations every season, and are not satisfied unless the Cats win the championship every season, ideas that are still repeated to this very day by his former fellow Washington Post-ians Kornheiser and Wilbon.
Was he married to Diane? She’s a big part of it too.![]()
Axis of evil Saddam, Bin Laden, Feinstein.
He and I are the same age. I met him back in the 80's and asked him about a quote from his book. He was gracious in his answer to me knowing I was a Kentucky fan.I had no Idea that he was only 6 years older than me. In the early 90s, I would have thought he was at least 15 years older than me. He was obsessed with his hatred for UK and he was given a platform to spew his venom with no one defending UK.
This is a really bad karma post for you dude. You can hate someone but this is way over the top. Grow up.His hatred for UK had no bounds......that's all I will say
