"UK Has Lost Lead on Zion"

Not at all worried about Cal losing this recruit to Self. It has been known for a long time what shoe company the kid was playing for and Kentucky was considered the most likely school for the kid. I actually expected these Zion to KU rumors to start popping up. When it is known by everyone where the kid wants to play, not much drama left when the time to pick which school comes. This kid is a Cal type of player and will be at Kentucky when it's all said and done. These experts are just getting the false info the family wants put out there so it's not considered a done deal already.

What is a Cal type player, I hear it referenced a lot in regards to top 10 players? Why wouldn't a top 11-25 player not be a Cal type player compared to 1-10?

Also, I've never read where Calipari has targeted Zion, only that Zion when interviewed said he would like to play with Quickley (he also said that about Dotson).

Thanks.

It's beyond me why anyone would worry when it comes to recruiting. I follow along simply to stay informed and up to date on everything UK.

But we have THE premier program coupled with THE greatest recruiter ever. I never sweat anything when it comes to recruiting. Cal is a machine and brings in stellar talent and generally even better human beings. The man knows what he is doing. When the next class is all said and done, as always, I will be beyond excited about the all-star talent he managed to bring to the bluegrass. Rinse, repeat.
