UK freshmen Skal Labissiere, Jamal Murray named all-Americans by CBS Sports.

Wow.

Looking at the rest of those "elite" names, one has to surmise that Kentucky has an excellent shot at winning the whole thing this year.

I'd even venture to say their odds might be better than last season, being that there are no Dukes, Arizonas, or Wisconsins on the horizon. Maryland is a two NBA prospect team; UNC has about four NBA guys, but none of them are lottery-type talent; Duke has Brandon Ingram and a collection of 2nd round picks surrounding him; Kansas is still Kansas. After that, there's an enormous drop-off.

Meanwhile, Kentucky has two bona fide top 5 picks, a pair of ultra-athletic veterans in Marcus Lee and Alex Poythress, pretty good depth, and some kid named Tyler Ulis who now has a full year under his belt.

please! Tyler Ulis would play tough as nails defense on ANY of those ''all-american' point guards. Kris Dunn, Trimble, I wouldn't trade Ulis for either. . ULIS belongs on one of those all American teams. Make em' pay for this Tyler!

I think Ulis belongs on this list too, but with two guys already on the list, don't think they wanted to have three. At the end of the year, I don't think they will have a choice but to put him on the list. Murray is the guy I thought many would be in wait and see Mode on. I guess not. They are expecting what we are expecting from him right away.

I really like our chances this season with this STUD freshman class and the returning cast. I'm praying we have no significant injuries such as Poythress last season. We should be the overwhelming favorite again. Being a UK fan makes my life so much better !!

I would like to see Ulis on there somewhere. .. But Wiltjer over someone like Jamal Murray for POY??? Did they not know they played on team Canada together??? We all saw the difference in production between those 2...
