Very odd to say the least !

I just don't get it. Three guys with 31 combined home runs hitting 6, 7, 8 just blows my mind. Johnson has hit fairly well at 5th and Becker has done ok in some games 4th, but I just don't understand why we aren't trying to give those three as many bats as possible, especially knowing we have to score 5 runs to win games.

I love Coach Ming but his decision to bunt Collett with 2 strikes with 2 men on early in the game was a momentum changing decision. It sapped all the energy out of this team and allowed Bama a team that had lost their last 7 games to gain their lead. A ad loss to an unranked team and now it makes a must win for the next two games. Kentucky batters fell into a pattern that hit the ball hard but always at somebody.

Collett should never be bunting. He's bad at it and he's not the type of out we should be giving up by a bunt. Risk the double play for the chance he hits a 3 run bomb. It's even worse that he's bunting out of the 7 hole.

Overrated?

I'm trying to deep breath this. Yes, we are a bit overrated at least. Still... I'm trying to use Florida a year ago as hope. They started off getting swept by Auburn on the road. They rebounded and took 2 of 3 at home against LSU. They then swept Missouri. Obviously that is where our trend ends. However, there's hope considering that the weekend after that they lost the series to Tennessee. They fell behind early and needed 3 sweeps in a row to come back to win the league, but they still pulled it off. It gives me hope by that we can make a surge back as well.

I love Mingione and Belanger,but our pitching has not lived up to its preseason hype. I hope the terrible weather has affected the development of the pitching,and not being as good as projected. We need to win the Alabama series!
