UK at South Carolina (Saturday)

Finished up .071. I can't believe Hill, Reagan, and Johnson were that strong so that is on Kentucky.

Seems like we lose Game 2 every series.

Umpire sure was willing to give the outside pitch today-- helped USC get the first pitch strike.

If we don't win this game and lose tomorrow, it is going to be hard to hold the SEC East lead as Florida has Ole Miss at home and then @ Alabama. We then have to go there. That's a lot of pressure.
We get GA & UT at home the next two week...just a long way from being over...my man Z Lewis is up tomorrow!

How much longer can we continue to run Logue out there. He looks like he has lost all confidence. I know the defense didn't help him today but dang they had some hot shots off of him.

Auburn up 5-1 in the fifth so it looks like the CATS missed on an opportunity to be in a three way tie for first after today...#GOCATS hope the bats clicking and Mr. Lewis has the magic going tomorrow.

This reminds me of 2007 when we played USC in their crappy old stadium down there. We won Friday night something like 15-2, and then lost both Saturday and Sunday, hope this is not a repeat.

Auburn sweeps DH today from Miss. State. That makes AU and MSU tied in the league with 14-7 records, if we win tomorrow, we join the 14-7 club atop the SEC.

Is USC pitchers best we faced this season?
I don't think so. I think our hitters were wore out from the thumping we gave them the day before. Like trying to play the Allstar game after hitting in the home run derby the day before. Three errors will do you in, also.

The errors were definitely a back breaker yesterday.

Obviously Logue wasn't good yesterday, again, but the pitching staff gave up only 5 runs total. This one is clearly on the bats and I'm stumped that they could be this bad after Friday. Today's game is huge.

Three unearned runs. The only game this season we had more unearned runs was the Delaware game which we lost 3-4. We have 14 games with unearned runs, and we've lost 4 of them. We are 16-10 with no unearned run. That is one strange stat. Obviously, we would have won the Delaware game if we could just take away the unearned runs. That is true for two of the other games where we had unearned runs and lost. The Louisville game would have been tied but we still lose the USC game even if we could miraculously take away all of the unearned runs.

Hjelle getting the start as the DH batting in the 4 spot today??? Is this a misprint? or true ...
I've seen that done fairly often lately. The pitcher gets sub'd for before the first AB. I guess it is a means to hide who is the DH until game time.

If what the announcers are saying is true, why isn't Pop at the USC hospital getting an MRI right now instead of standing around in the dugout?

Ah makes sense, espc in this situation..

Probably waiting to see who USC rolled out as their starter, left or right handed pitcher.
