UK at Bama Game Thread! Go Cats!

Sears does not score 30 against Butler. There's the game.

30 points on on 17 shots, 11/11 from the line.

If only Philon, Younblood, or Halloway played as poorly as Oweh...

That's the most striking fact from the box score. All of Bama's players were relatively efficient. Really, the only player who was beyond bad for the game offensively was Oweh.

I'm ready for this thing to be a machine. We've seen flashes throughout the year but I desperately want to be a dominant team that doesn't worry about losing to football schools.

Guys the clear problem is guys who should be role players are being forced into roles they clearly aren’t ready for. It’s a miracle Kentucky has won any games without the backcourt. Now go beat okla and lsu which they can and go get a game or 2 at the SEC tourney and the 5 seed in the ncaa tourney and see what happens from there

Oweh needs to spend the whole offseason working on change of pace while driving to the basket and hai jumpshot obviously. He always goes downhill at 10 thousand miles a hour.
He also needs to work on playing under control. He was driving the lane and throwing up shots that had no chance of going in. He also committed some of the dumbest fouls possible.

We would have been better off with our shooters taking 3s than Oweh driving to the basket throwing up dumb shots.

He needs to develop a deft touch around the rim.

Every layup is a throw at or slightly above the rim. I don't recall him ever attempting to lay a soft shot high off the glass when around the rim.

Developing a reverse layup and the touch for high, soft layups would much improve his efficiency around the rim.

He also needs to stop pouting like a small kid.

How'd that go tonight? We match up well with UT. Not so much with Bama.
We don’t but tonight made me even more confident that Alabama isn’t going to a final four again. Their offense is Sears foul baiting, and a couple of okay shooters. Nelson is to inconsistent and the omoruyi only offers dunks.
