This is just sickening. I’d expect to see that dismal ranking in the Joker era. After all the commitments the university has made since then to improve the program and facilities (including coaches salaries), recruiting classes, and recent on field success, to be back at this level is completely unacceptable.
It's a crap rating. We're about 50th in the Sagarins, which is about where we should be. That means bottom half P4, which we are, and better than about all but 10 midmajors, and MUCH better than half the midmajors.
86th is mid-level midmajor caliber. How did we look against our two midmajors this year?
With that said, we still suck. 50th is pathetic, considering there are only about 70 P4 teams and considering our recruitment averages around 25th over the last five years and that the portal has been a net plus as well.

If we bump Stoops up to top 5 salary instead of top 10, wonder if that would give us just the edge we need to vault up into the 70s? Mitch, get the paperwork ready.
