If both finish 11-1, both will have losses to UGA, but UT has the better resume by far, being 5-1 against ranked teams.

I would agree if who you lose to was all the committee was looking at with all else being equal, but resume has supposedly been a big factor in the CFB era. Resume was the reason UT was #1 last week in the first CFB ranking over UGA, tOSU, and Michigan. Of course, being PAC-12 champ would likely be what puts Oregon ahead of UT.Lose early not late
That's fair. I almost left off ACC champion but I think there is a small case that 1-loss Clemson/UNC would be more deserving of a CFP bid compared to Tennessee. UNC has the best QB in the nation. Don't forgot that Tennessee almost lost to a very mediocre ACC team this season already. But I admit my thinking is corrupted by my intense hate for UT.Why would you say that ? It’s supposed to be the 4 best teams . I guarantee any of those teams would get embarrassed at Georgia. And LOL at you even suggesting an ACC team . I doubt ANY ACC team would have a winning record if they played in the SEC . Are you trying to make a joke ?
LOL ! I know what you mean! Trust me , the ONLY reason I would want Tennessee to make the playoffs is because 2 SEC teams in the playoffs would help us in the bowl selection process. That's fair. Is it even worth it ? I’m not sure! lol

And the score of the Georgia game is not indicative of how bad Georgia dominated them. Just a total ass kickingKnoxvilles best win over a 2 maybe 3 loss non division winning Bama. And didn't win its conference division.
They are the exact opposite of a lock. Knoxville is locked out unless major chaos in Pac 12, Big 12, B1g 10.
Who, someone like Oregon? Oh wait..I don't think you can put Tennessee in over a 1-loss Pac12, Big12 or ACC champion. We just saw Georgia dominate them, we don't need to see that again, let Georgia feast on other conferences in the CFP.
Which is why I said UT was 5-1 against ranked opponents rather than 5-0.Well that resume isn't quite the same ss it was 3 weeks ago.
If a one loss Pac 12 team is conference Champion,
I don't know about that. Neither have a great resume and losing one of the couple of meaningful regular season games would keep the loser of that game out, IMO, although tOSU might get in on name brand, as Bama has done before.Loser between UM and OSU vould get in, very likely if OSU.
If UGA as undefeated, and loses, it would be the best 1 loss resume with a win over number 1.
I don't know. I haven't asked them. But here is a serious question, do the majority of UT fans really believe they shut UGA down the 3nd half? Do they not get game was done when we were up 21 and Kirby called the Dawgs off.
To challenge UGA, I agree.UT has to get alot better alone the los.
