Based off of what has been reported;
UConn athletics is essentially broke as it is. It's in one of the worst financial states in all of college athletics. They just recently (2022) pledged to shave off $10,000,000 from their deficit. Instead, their deficit increased to $53 million in 2023, a record. So, I am confused at how a BOT would approve some kind of crazy raise for Hurley. Or anything within $3 mill of our $11 mill reported offer. The football program itself is also losing $14,000,000 per year.
