Tyler Ulis Injury: Updates on Kentucky PG's Elbow and Return

Thanks OP, I'll trust Cal. He doesn't play around with Coach speak when his players health is involved. Glad TU's dad chimed in. I imagine he talked to Coach Cal and realizes he can calm a storm with some well placed words Cal can probably not do/ say...

Let him rest ,before the season Illinois st looked liked a NJIT type challenge ( a team who will make the tourney ) but Illlini St has been really bad so far this year so just get Ulis ready for the UCLA game .
Illinois State may still be better than UCLA. But I agree, hold him out tonight if need be and at UCLA if need be as well.

Thanks much for the update Preacher. As others have said; let him rest and fully heal. We should be able to win this next one without him. But even if we have problems Tyler's health and welfare are more important than this game will be.

Ill St. was up by 5 on Maryland in the second half. I expect the same effort from them tonight.

ULIS WILL PLAY....if he can, but rest him if we start off hot. Just saying Ulis wont sit unless Cal makes him.
I disagree I don't see him playing tonight. Briscoe needs to run the point for experience. What if Ulis get hurt again and we need someone as a backup pg.

Sorry to hear that this injury is keeping him out and it suggests the hyperextension was a bit more intense than some thought. I know I am not a young athlete anymore and I recently did similar and it keeps coming back for more than 2 weeks anytime I use the arm above my shoulder. Hope it doesn't linger for him.

I still wonder why Briscoe is running the point instead of Murray. The guy was fantastic at that position in those Olympic pre-qualifier games especially when the ball was in his hands. He also had a career night with Ulis being out a majority of the game so I suppose it ends up in his hands anyway.

Doesn't really suggest anything other than we are holding him out as a precaution because we are playing a cupcake tonight. Idc what they did to Maryland for some of that game, UK is a lot better than Maryland and this game will never really be in doubt. We need Ulis for our first road game on Thursday in LA and I expect him to be out there. If he is out Thursday, then I might think it is more intense.

I bet if it was a team that could threaten UK tonight Ulis would go.
Cal's not going to risk further injury in a game we wont need him in.
