Two Players Transfering?

Whoever it may, how would it work if they immediately put in the paperwork? Would the player have to sit out the 2015 season and be good to go for 2016? Or is he already deemed as having played in 2015, and then has to sit out 2016?

Hendrix and Hytcyhe

Why would Hendrix leave the program? I get Hytchye, but I'm not following Hendrix. I know he fell back in the depth chart, but did he fall behind some freshmen as well, maybe?

He would sit out 2015 and be eligible for 2016. And if he transfers to FCS or NCAA D2 (or NAIA), he could be eligible to play immediately.

At what point does the player, assuming he transfers to FBS, have to sit out the 2016 season? Is it after the first game of this season?

Best of luck to both guys if it is those two. Hate to see guys leave that wanted to come here, but if they can transfer and play/help another program I wish them nothing but the best.

Those two would be an any list I were to make of kids apt to transfer.

If a Kid can not make the 2 deep at MLB with the situation there at the present time he likely is not talented enough to play at this level and with the Freshmen DBs making such a flash I am not surprise a player down the depth chart at DB might decide to transfer.

I would not be surprised if both these players have had a conversation with coach Stoops about their likely future with UK football. This is a likely win win for both the kids and UK football. The kids move on to a level where they are better suited and UK opens up two SS to go after more SEC type players. Football at the highest level is not for every player.

figured this about Hendrix when the news came out last week about Brown & Allen not redshirting. guess the same should have been logical for Hytchel with 2 true frosh cb's near to #1 on the depth chart. guys who get lapped by incoming freshmen on the depth charts dont stick around. Best of luck to both young men at their next destination (EKU?).

I wish they were going to EKU, but some of their tweets seem like they are looking at other schools.

And the first high school player to commit to Stoops. Borden and Z. Smith were the first actual commits. They committed the same day.

I remember watching the signing day show that year and I recall Stoops talking to Hytchye on the phone and saying something to him about getting his LOI in late, even though he was Stoops' first HS commitment...wish him well!

F. Maggard indicates on twitter that the staff is confident in the Love situation...we'll see what good that does us, ain't no betting or hoping the NCAA makes the best wise decisions

Surprised about Hendrix. When he played in the spring game as basically a SR in HS; I thought he looked really good. Good size, and could fill a hole even then. Im guessing his speed isnt up to par.

Hope they both land on their feet.

looking at other schools versus another school looking at you & then bringing you in on scholarship is often 2 sadly different things

Just is what it is. Best of luck to both of them with their play and educations. What else can you say?

Good summary.

When true freshmen start passing you on the depth chart it is not a good sign.

Should be a win/win for both parties, and I wish them the best, transferring for the right reasons. And I do think they contributed some to UK's progress, even if only by making our recruiting look better at the time, they added to the buzz.

Receiver seems like a position where we might see an exit or two after this season, depending on how heavily the talent is rotated. They all seem to merit some playing time, but I start getting the impression Dawson is going to stick with the hot hands as much as possible, and that we have a few kids who are going to earn and take every rep he offers.

Interesting point about the body language.

Hytchye and Hendrix recruited over. Wish them the best. Body language wasn't right during camp. Didn't expect this quick. LB depth worry.

Once enrolled at a D1 institution, the transfer rule requires 1 year of academic residency at your new institution (which must be established in the fall and spring semesters) before becoming eligible.

Peace
