Two Officers Shot In Fergusen

After the police chief resigned, protesters took to the streets demanding the entire police force resign. Naturally, it escalated into violence and two officers were shot, allegedly from long range.

IMO, it's to point where they may as well let them do what they want and let the chips fall where they may.

I don't know why any good folks would want to live there, much less be a cop.

Al Sharpton and 2 other race hustlers were on Morning Joe and were asking us to wait and see what the facts are on who may have shot them. Funny how they did NOT ask for the same thing when Brown was shot. Sharpton was on all the tv networks and in MO. saying that Wilson MURDERED Brown. Also, all those black congress people and NFL players with the HANDS UP, DON'T SHOOT protests have yet to apologize. When will all of them admit they were wrong?

When someone tells them they were wrong. As of now, they were right because the media said so. Period. It's really that simple. Get the media to start asking tough questions and start doing their job, and people might follow their lead. But, as of now, the play is to appease the people. It's just business. It's sick in a way, but that's what it is.

The thing is you won't see a huge demonstration from cop supporters on the streets, and I don't think the media would cover it even if they did demonstrate.

Even better, the cops should show up for work, go to the donut shop and sip coffee all day. Don't make any traffic stops, don't write any tickets, don't investigate any robberies or murders, unless they can be 100% sure that it is only white people breaking the laws, then do something to them. Anytime they see a black person breaking a law, just look the other way and keep on looking for white law breakers. this seems to be what the black community wants, so give it to them.

Michael Brown's stepdad was caught on film inciting a riot. Nothing ever came of that apparently. Holder can't find anything wrong in the death of Michael Brown so he just claims racism within the department. Sharpton poses for the cameras and stirs up more unrest, then leaves town. No comments from him about officer Wilson doing nothing wrong.

They all have this on their head. I doubt they will say anything now. The Governor of Missouri better get his act together quickly or Ferguson is going to turn into a war zone.

If I am a cop there right now, I am asking myself is it even worth trying to protect folks who hate me and are now shooting at me. Let all of the cops quit and see what happens to that place. Would be complete anarchy.

4. Memphis
5. Birmingham

What do those have in common? Do any of those places seem like good places to live? No thanks. Outside of Birmingham, which I am not very familiar of, those other four are insane when it comes to murder rates. Throw Cleveland in there with them.

The unrest in because of the police actions. The deaths of the officers is terrible and I hope those guilty are brought to justice.

Oakland is actually a great place to live. There are some pockets with elevated crime rates but Oakland is a hotspot in the Bay Area. Cincinatti ranks higher than Oakland in regards to murder rates (as well as Memphis).

But, due to the tech boom in the Bay Area, money is pouring into SF and many established residents are finding Oakland a cheaper (and sunnier) alternative. The flats still need considerable work/cleanup, but I get out there about once a year for solar installations and you can visibly see progress made each time.

I recently read that Oakland has the highest increases in rent/living costs in the Bay Area over the last 5 years, even over SF where average rents have increased by ~70%.

Seriuosly, Oakland is blowing up. If you have Chinese real-estate-firm-like FU money, go long in Oak-town.

He had the House and the Senate... a ton of political capital... and even a good chunk of the people that didn't vote for him were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

He didn't even attempt to bring people together... be it in the political world, or with racial relations.

Every once in a while the EBT system goes down temporarily and gives us a small glimpse of it. It happened in Louisiana a year or two ago.
