Pitino's decision not to guard Grant Hill
Cal's decision not to call timeout and set defense

We will always wonder but never know....we were that close to two more final fours....

I've never given a 2nd thought to Cal not calling a timeout there. How about Pricktino
not guarding Hill and Porchino not playing Derek Anderson? Those two sound legit.

He didn't really have time to call TO.

The one Cal issue to me was not calling a TO to set up a better play against Wisconsin when we had them on the ropes. After two straight shot clock violation possessions call a TO and set something aggressive up! I digress. Love Cal but come on.

Pitino went opposite of what he should have done. Calipari did what he should have. Both results were bad for us. It happens, end of story.

Definitely do not call a time out there. You live (and die as it turned out) giving Luke Maye that shot from almost behind the arc.

why call a timeout to set up your man 2 man defense, find your man and guard him. Also, gives them a chance to set up the offense.

Put me in the category of wanting Cal to call TO. I've been watching the tourney for a LOT of years and have seen many teams win on an easy shot at the buzzer because the D wasn't prepared.

If a timeout was called Roy would have told his team to drive it inside and they will call a foul. That is the way the whole game was so I don't see anything changing at the end.

Our defense was pretty good overall at the end of the season. I would rather my defense be ready than what we ended up with. If they call a foul and we lose, then that is life. We lost anyway.

That's exactly what I thought. They would have run straight to the rim and had a trailer or two just in case. I still can't believe we came back to tie the game. That was nuts.

Agree, the TO vs Carolina wouldn't have made sense. Better question is should we have stopped the Wisconsin run in '15 with a timeout. But it's illuminating that no one outside of our own fan base questions that - whereas college basketball fans and commentators everywhere talked about not putting a man on the ball in '92.

If the officials call a foul on Monk's made three, we hit it go up 1 then we can set it up. I don't have a problem with Cal not calling the TO but just the execution of our defense. Willis had to help out because of the drive to the middle. It happens.

The rest of the game - that's another story for the FBI

Don't go all jerky like it is a crazy idea. Cal said he should have. Is he "you people" too?

If he had called a timeout you people would be bitching he gave unc a chance to set up a play if we had lost that way too. The game earlier in the year rou didnt call a timeout and they missed the shot and lost. YOU PEOPLE will bitch about anythinh

yes, Cal should have called time out. The guy who made the winning shot was unguarded. And, a set defense would have slowed the ball getting up the floor. 2 seconds would have made a huge difference!
