Who the hell pays for tv? Every damn game gets streamed by multiple people on freaking youtube.
Youtube doesn't bother dropping them usually. I guess cuz your STILL watching it on their platform.
I can't remember the last time i didn't see UK game on regular youtube.
Yes. If you can't get the game through your provider just go to YouTube. Search for "Kentucky Lipscomb" shortly before game time. Very likely there'll be multiple live streams available.

It's not that easy for everyone. My dad for instance is 80 years old. So far he has managed but it isn't easy for him and it stresses him out something fierce. lol
There you go I am 70 and paying thru the nose for dish waaay too much and now cant see the Cats play. I have not had much luck with buying programming and "canceling" usually too complicated for me, cant get them on the phone. So lucky for me I grew up before they were televised and listened on the radio so I drag the radio out and listen.

I just don't agree with you, I'm reasonable, and it was simple as hell to figure out.

It's extremely simple. Yes, there are multiple options. Yes, if you are an uneducated person I can see you clicking the wrong one. Most of us are smart enough to click the correct and free version though.

The counter argument is who is too cheap to pay $50-$70 per month (for lots of channels and games) to watch a higher quality broadcast and would rather watch some shaky, not high-resolution game with poor audio and some guy talking over the commentary.

I figure we all fritter away too much money on a bunch of other dumb things to be worried about a little bit of cash during the season to watch our favorite team play.
Wrong imo but.....
You just keep paying. They need your butt. You pay 70 cuz we pay 0. And it'll stay that way. Well until you pay 80..then 90....etc ..
Cable got money from me for 30 years straight. They been done.

You don't NEED ESPN+ to get the games.

ESPN+ is a service you can buy without a TV subscription, cable or streaming. It offers access to SOME live sports, but also their premium content and articles on their website and some reserved content and backlog catalog of things on the ESPN+ app.

If you have SECN through a TV provider, then the VAST VAST VAST majority of those have the ability to use your account to authorize SECN+ in the ESPN app. You'll often see 2 versions of a game, one showing ESPN+ and one SECN+, so just know you'll need an ESPN+ subscription for those labeled ESPN+ and a supported TV provider (like YTTV) to watch the ones labeled SECN+.
Which is convoluted and stupid. Disney espn should allow all Espn programming on ESPN plus. .....but that would finish cable tv and streaming cable. Cable tv and streaming cable rely big time on live sports on pay tv. It would destroy the pay tv subscription base and hurt league profits.
Thus we cant watch espn legally without cable or streaming cable......for now.
Got ya by the balls.

I think you are correct- I do remember seeing a couple different options, SEC+ and ESPN+ after I choose my tv provider as YouTube TV- it was pretty easy

I find it to be more of a pain in the ass than anything else.

I set mine up in about 10 minutes. Grumbled a few times.

I had to walk my 80-year-old parents through it by phone and it almost took an afternoon.

It’s not user friendly, but I understand putting cupcake football and basketball games on streaming only. I also don’t expect the a-team to broadcast cupcake games.

I just installed the app for the first time 10 days ago on both TVs. I never use the app directly on TV, I just go right to YTTV ESPN channels.

As said a bit ago, I have uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and still cannot get the prompt to verify my TV provider that I fully expected from the get go. I'll go down now and see if I can find the area for TV provider and make sure it's there (on the TV app...the computer webpage and device apps all show my provider as YTTV).
Open espn app and logout, go back into espn and hit watch tv scroll down to channels scroll over to sec+ hit enter and then it should ask you for your login info from provider that you subscribe to sec Network with

I'll have to wait until the one month subscription ends on Dec 9th to do this. But I'll try to report back.

You can't get ESPN+ or SEC+ games on YTTV. Only on the ESPN website on a computer when you select your TV provider as YTTV. But on a full TV you have to download the ESPN app and then pay for the subscription for the rest of November, then immediately cancel. As someone above said, for the month of Nov it breaks down to $3 per game, and you won't need it again for the rest of the season after November. I prefer watching the game on my TV than at my computer.

Another "trick" ESPN plays - you can't airplay from your phone/tablet/computer to the TV for some reason. Every time I've tried it's either blocked or extremely poor quality.

If you have a trick with finding SEC+ or ESPN+ on YouTubeTV, please let us know.
I've just been streaming the game on my laptop and hooking a HMI cable from my laptop to my tv. That being said, streaming is always freezing on my system, so it's still a pain and the feed doesn't take up the whole screen.

Well...once again if a person already has the ability to watch the games on ESPN/SEC Network (via cable/satellite/etc. subscription), then they can watch these SEC+ games for no additional expense. So I'm not sure how that is fraud exactly.

I will grant that ESPN makes it a bit confusing, but all someone has to do is look at the details of the game streams when they try to watch and select the one that says SEC+.
Just called Spectrum (Cable) and that's not true

I agree. I tried again today. Under settings, I am signed in with my YouTube tv account on the ESPN app. Whenever I try to play SEC network plus content I get “Unable to play Video” You are not authorized to view this content”
They have 2 different streams on the app make sure you select the proper one.

As long as you have ESPN on spectrum you can 100% use your spectrum login information on the ESPN app and watch. You have to create a login for the ESPN app, once you log in and select the game it will ask for your TV login credentials, if you put your spectrum email and password in then you can watch free.

Good to know I have this option on YouTube. I’ll never, ever pay for television again, however, I have a close friend that set me up with one of the three YouTubeTV accounts he pays for. I’m sure he’ll explore other options at some point. Nice to know this option is available for games. But if not, I still have Tom and Goose.
