It was a flurry of nearly consecutive plays around the 11:30 min mark in the 2nd half.

#9 gets dinged up by Carr at the end of a possession and that was the beginning of his cramping and being forced into leaving the game- killing duke’s defensive x factor.

A possession or two later Amari Williams sets a bone rattling screen on #14. Not only was it another hit to duke’s depth, it was one of if not duke’s most physical players getting roughed up. Our bruiser knocked their bruiser out of the game. That’s big for psyche. Soon thereafter Schulman comments how physical the game was getting- that was all UK who was driving that style of play while duke was beginning to reel.

Shortly then into a duke possession and a fatigued and rattled duke team missed 4 opportunities following 3 offensive rebounds only to give up a transition and-1 to Lamont Butler.

There were some plays made down the stretch by Flagg that kept it even until the very end- but that stretch of 3-4 plays in a matter of 2 min or less in game clock was when the tide turned and when our guys took control of the game.
