Trust the Process

I know losing sucks. I know it sucks even more because of the way we lost. I get it.

However, this is part of the process. It’s taken Stoops 10 years to get us here, but it’s going to take even more time to get us where we want to be. Games like this are good for the team. They’re also great for recruiting, much better than blowing out Poop St. or whomever.

I posted in another post that we will always be a basketball school at the very least. Stoops is trying to make us a two sport school and that is very hard to do. It’s what makes this job so different than most other schools in the country.

Remember, Stoops is still a first time head coach. He has learned how to win here, but now he is learning how to win big here. There is a bug difference.

Trust the process. I know it’s hard, but it is working. We ARE getting better. We will start wining these games soon.

We have a first round draft pick QB and one of the best RBs we’ve had at this school. If not now, then when?

Stoops gets a lot of credit and praise. Deservedly so. Very worthy of it.

He needs some heat for 5 ST points being missed today. Seems every year there is a game he looks sort of overmatched or something. Some bonehead plays today by players too. Smoke dropping a wide open screen pass. Levis safety and fumbles.

However, XP in college should be automatic.

Stoops overall is a solid coach who's teams usually have to win ugly but it's been effective. But games like today where he declined the holding penalty which left them in FG range just baffle me. Coaches make mistakes too but you've gotta have your head in the game in these close matchups especially when your team is so sloppy.

Agree 100% Stoops has built this team with a defense first mentality….initially we got strong on D while the offense struggled. We lost a ton on D but the O-Line developed under John. Our Offense took a huge step forward in the running game thanks to the Big Blue Wall but our losses on D caused us to be unbalanced. Then our D got better but we lost a ton on the O-Line.

We now have a solid Defense, speed at the skills spots on O & a pretty darn good QB but 3 new starters on the O-Line. And a 3rd different Offensive Coordinator in 3 years.

there are zero shortcuts in football…the portal and NIL are changing the game but I honestly feel like we are very close. Trust our coach to build us to special in all 3 facets of the game.

we’re about 75% of the way to the top of the mountain….put the cleats in the ground and let’s keep grinding.

Thats where I'm at .. how often are we going to have a QB this talented ? And a CRod and set of receivers we have ? And damn I never realized it took a decade to become a complete coach . Dont accept excuses fans , just dont .
