Baller!!! Currently playing on CBS. Drake vs Bradley

I’m tired where is Drake U located and how much does Drake have in their NiL collective. Both schools are dangerous in the tourney
Des Moines IA.
Doubt they have much of a collective.
In truth Drake's athletic department probably losses money.

Bennett won’t leave McCollum. Ben is about 1 or 2 “no”s away from being Indianas coach. Bennett will go wherever Ben goes or stay with him at Drake.

He’s not a mercenary and money won’t talk with him. He’s an uber smart kid too. He’s smart enough to know what’s in front of him for the rest of his life. He doesn’t have to take a quick grab. I know UK means a lot to us, but it doesn’t mean squat to a kid like him.

Is this Marc Maggard?

Watched some of his game yesterday, not impressed
Like the kid from north Dakota better, seemed more athletic and better shooter

I thought of that also but maybe he gets his coach's blessing.
Drake really can't pay a seven figure NIL.
Yeah, doesn’t it seem kind of naïve to think a guy would pass up the small window of opportunity players have in this NIL environment? "Not going to leave his coach" seems more of a platitude or a high school thing than something you would expect to see in the current adult business that is college basketball. As I said yesterday, how much money can any reasonably intelligent guy (upperclassman at that) be expected to pass up because he "loves" his coach? And how much can a coach care about a player if he manipulates him into passing up maybe 100s of thousands of dollars (maybe even a million in Stirtz case)?

Loyalty is certainly a big deal. I’ve kept employees who were not the most competent, and who required more work on my part to cover, due to their loyalty and dedication. But I also didn’t try to stop employees who I cared about when better opportunities became available – and I’m still great friends with those folks today.

We've got an absolute stud in Chandler. Need to focus on keeping him because he's going to blow up next year.
Chandler is definitely showing the potential now, isn't he? Yeah, you can't let a guy like that get away by not prioritizing him after helping to get him to this point and with his familiarity with the system, etc.

Money talks with everyone, it will talk when he gets the call to go to Indiana and I’d say it will talk with who would try to get his player to transfer, sure Indiana could pay a ton but he would be silly not to look around.

Any school in P4 hiring the Drake coach would be taking a huge risk.
He has zero experience with NIL and big time recruiting.
He really has shown anything recruiting at Drake's level since he basically brought players from his own team with him.
If I'm IU is a hard pass.

His 4 D2 National Titles mean nothing?

Stirtz is a nice player but after watching games all day yesterday, the Drake/Bradley game looked like it was being played in slow motion.
Huge difference in athleticism from MVC to SEC.
Not scared of Drake at all.
I just didn't see that Stirtz had the supporting cast to be a giant killer.

Apples and Oranges.
D2 is a different game.
I don't think the whole team is even on scholarship in D2.
If you don’t think Ben’s three D2 nattys in a row or four overall mean the guy could coach at any level, I think I’m wasting my time typing this. Hell, look what he’s done at Drake. The only reason he won’t jump from Drake is the same reason he was at Northwest as long as he was. He liked it better than what the alternative was. Idk if he’d say yes to Iowa. But he would to Indiana. And as a UK fan, I hope he doesn’t get called. But as a Ben McCollum fan, I sure hope he gets called.

Respectfully, you don’t know the relationship between the two, or the kid. Ben passed up plenty of D1 opportunities prior to Drake. Hell, he told MO St to kick rocks over $50k or so in assistant money. He’d take Indiana because of the history of the program and the opportunity to create a legend, not a quick bag. And Bennett isn’t going anywhere without his coach. These are different kinds of folks. It refreshing. Feel free to save this and throw an I told you so my way.

Goodness. There will be a few nos before it gets to him, but you’d be silly to pass on this guy.
