-Gonzaga(Sweet 16, somewhat a down year for them)
-WVU(missed the Dance)
-Texas(2nd Round loss, #7 seed)
-TCU(1st round loss, #9 seed)
-Arkansas(Missed tournament)

2024:
-Indiana(3)(Missed tournament)
-K-State(3)(Missed tournament)
-Kansas(1st round loss, 7 seed)
-Tennessee(#2 seed, Elite 8)

Multiple Top 25 transfers over the last 2 seasons...

-Indiana(4)
-K-State (4)
-Kansas(3)
-Tennessee(3)
-Texas(3)
-TCU(3)

I mean looking at it....I'm not seeing a trend of recruiting STUDS from the portal equating to NCAA tournament and regular season dominance. Bama and UT generally built their rosters over a few years and found some good pieces. IU fired their coach. KU and Bill Self are doing worse than they ever have. Texas & TCU aren't even top 3 in their own state.

I will say that although he lacked at the end...it does give me an appreciation for what Cal did in getting his rosters to come together in a short time...because this portal era is showing you can't just throw teams together.
